That too in our Indian society, whenevere we see or speak to elders they take it for granted to give advice, they forget that everyone in this world has come for different purposes & everyone's life is unique, more than giving advice elders should shower their love & blessings unconditionally, so they get love & respect in return. Mostly advices fly in air, as they are got for free.
