I'm 4 weeks away from picking up my first springer and I can't wait. I'm trying to learn and be prepared as much as I can and this video was really helpful! (P.S. The liver puppy that kept doing the frog leg was too cute.) 😆

Thanks for the good advice. Your approach angle is completely down to earth and you are talking directly to the new dog owner. We will get our FT Springer Spaniel in 4 weeks and have to choose which one we want out of 5 boys in 2 weeks. Some good advice, in relation to choosing the dog that will be in the family for many years. Ours must be a loving family dog that comes with us everywhere, but must also be used as a hunting dog. 1000 thanks from Kristian (Denmark)

Hey Kristian! You really can't go wrong when it comes to English Springer Spaniels. Generally speaking they all have the same loving personality. They LOVE affection. That can be used as a training tool. They hate to disappoint. Start training as soon as you get the puppy home. Remember, what you allow the puppy to do as a puppy, it will do as an adult. So if you don't want the full grown dog up on the bed or couch, or jumping up, don't let it do it as a puppy. Best of luck!

@@OSheaSpringers . He’s doing great, he’s probably getting spoiled too much right now, our fault not his😐. He’s has been great in his crate at night, just trying to get him going in it during the day. He’s brought us loads of smiles and happiness. I can’t wait until I can take him out for walks. Hi, I love your videos, especially the one on very young puppies, I will get mine in three days, a little English springer spaniel girl 8 weeks old, what you suggest about food, raw food, cooked food, dry food, wet food, a mixture of all, also the quantity and how many times a day. I really appreciate if you can answer asap.

I have a question. I want to get an English springer spaniel expect my parents won't allow one because they say my backyard is too small. Could you possibly make a video on ways to energize your English springer spaniel is you don't have a huge backyard? Love your channel.

Hey Emily thanks for the comment! That's a great suggestion and we'll see about making that video. We have certainly heard a lot that people 'have heard' or 'have read' that springers are very active and must have this or must have that. We haven't found them to be extremely active. Yes they do need exercise and do need to have an outlet, but if you can provide them with walks and a run around a dog park or a conservation area, then you would be fine!

Our springer is almost 6 and in the harsh winter months we do a lot of food games! We started after she had knee surgery and couldn’t go for her normal walks. Now we have a sniff box, wrap food in towels to figure out and other types of puzzles! I found a dog enrichment group on Facebook too which has a lot of great ideas

I have a question about the bit larger pup with brown-beige-white colors on the head (the one on 10:30). Is that an English Springer Spaniel? Or what kind is that?
