For drying of wet shoes, may I suggest that you pick up a couple of smooth rocks near the river bank or something, heat them up in your fire and place it beside and near your shoes. The residual heat will help the water evaporate faster and you won’t have to worry about your shoes getting burnt!

Just bake it like people on the frontier did. Get a campfire rock with a flat surface. Build a fire next to it. Let the rock heat up slowly and for embers to be created in the fire. Get a pot, preferably cast iron, but other ones might work given that it isn't a thin cheap pot or has plastic on it. Put the cinnamon roll dough on the rock. Put the pot upside down over it. Cover the pot with the coals from the fire and put them around it. Let it bake for awhile. There you go. You could also buy a cast iron dutch oven. You put the dutch oven next to the fire and put the cinnamon rolls in it. You put the lid on and cover it with coals from the fire. You need the lid hook tool or a stick to lift the lid later.

If you save your orange peels over time and dry them out, they make great fire starters. The peel contains limonene, an oil that's the main ingredient in some hand cleaners because it works as a solvent, and it's quite flammable. That suspended soap in nylons idea looks like a very elderly scrotum!

So for the water bottle lantern, if you use a small water bottle filled with a water/bleach mix it will produce far more light. @bp922216 жыл бұрын
@@TyQuinn yes but it's a camping "hack" an easier and cheaper way to accomplish the goal. Going by that same logic why would you ever need to use the orange candle, or the foil plates?
@TyQuinn6 жыл бұрын
@@bp92221 Ah, but foil and oil are both things people bring to cook with often when camping. They are typical camping supplies and so it is possible you will have them anyway (and if you like oranges there is a chance you would have one of those too). If you found yourself without a candle (ran out perhaps) you can improvise a new one. Bleach on the other hand is hardly a "camping" hack. Perhaps a general lifehack for when you are at home and you have a power outage, but nobody camps with a bottle of bleach
