MY LOVES! I am back with another beginner jazz dance. This sassy, simple jazz combination works on musicality, technique, and is oh so fun. I love teaching you basic jazz moves because it reminds me to focus on clean lines, sharp arms, and performance. In this routine we have a pirouette, some floor work, chaîné turns, and foot work phrases with passé. Follow along dance classes are a great way to learn dance at home, especially right now. loved this so much! i am a total beginner in a musical theater program and i can't tell you how refreshing it is to actually be able to follow along with choreography 😅😅👍👍 and to have someone very pleasant doing the teaching!

girl, I'm starting at 26. By 13 your knees still work, so it's fine (mine don't, but I'm trying xD) It's not really late for your body, it's just that other kids were lucky to have parents who guessed their interests xD I'm personally doing Broadway Jazz (I think the difference is that the movements are sharper and more energetic than regular Jazz). Tbh, I haven't found many differences between contemporary and Jazz, but I think Jazz is a it more fun, it brings stuff from classical and makes it modern ;) I think it's also a good genre to start, since it gives you the technique you could use for many different styles, it's like a bridge :)

Im just getting started at dance and my friends says i should go jazz because of my flexibility. But is it okay to do jazz if you are a boy? I dont see a lot of boys doing jazz 😭😭

Hey Hazwin, I have been dancing at this online dance studio for a couple months and have been trying to recommend my fellow dancer friends over to it! They are awesome!!! If you're trying to learn Hip Hop/ Contemporary dances step by step.... YouDance (the dance studio i'm talking about) has it all!!! I started out with the 7 day free trial, it's super nice that they offer this. I wanted to make sure that I liked it before actually signing up. I loved it though and use them consistently. Too fast, just like beginning jazz classes in person you teachers expect a novice to just jump in and do this. A ball change is something I learned in tap, but certainly not going to string all this together on the first try. I’ll look for other instruction, I don’t want to keep pausing and backing up!😝

same it was like she told you the move and put the music on, which is way faster then what she was going. i wanted to do this cause i’m a beginner like the video said, but my “beginner” brain needs some time to comprehend what to do and adapt to the tempo
