sponges are great for doing foundation. too faced born this way foundation is great so is tarte face tape foundation makeup forever HD skin foundation. nars foundations are amazing

It’s crazy to see how Morphe used to be so popular back in the day, but are now filing bankruptcy and closing down all locations! I think people started real feeling some type of way because back then the influencers would have affiliate codes with Morphe but none of them disclosed that they were getting a kick back (not even the well loved influencers were honest ). 🙈 I also read an article that said that the younger generation Z crowd don’t really care about Morphe because they don’t follow the older (30years and older) larger influencers like Jaclyn Hill, Manny MUA, Kathleen Lights, Jafar Star, Laura Lee, etc. who were huge promoters of them. They follow younger influencers in their age group and are very conscious about a brand’s ethics so they are put off and not interested in Morphe for those reasons. I’m happy with the 3 palettes I have from Morphe, but the brand as a whole rarely sparks my interest. They have too many large palettes, monochromatic palettes and they are hit or miss on quality.

I agree 100%! They went way overboard with those huge palettes. And that’s something I didn’t even think about.. the Gen Z kids not being into the older influencers 🤔 That definitely makes a huge difference! Hopefully Morphe can bounce back, but unfortunately it’s not looking too good 😩

@@DJMonae Those are good for MUAs or people who just want to buy 1 or 2 palettes with a bunch of colors to have in their minimalist collections, but for their core audience of beauty lovers who watch beauty KZfaq, we all got burned out on those huge laptop size palettes back in 2017. 😂 Yeah, I think it’s only natural for teens and very young adults to be drawn to follow people who are closer to their age group than people in their 30s some of whom are old enough to technically be parents to some of these high school Gen Z kids. I’m 31 and I don’t follow anyone under 28 anymore because I feel more comfortable watching people in my age range. But I even follow some people in their 50s and older because they have great content. 🙂 I hope they can recover, but I think they will need to do a total rebrand and improve their products if they want a revival.

Thanks for sharing your makeup kit with us! Everything looks clean, neat and sanitary which is definitely important. When I was in my early 20s, I went to an MUA and she was super talented, but not sanitary at all! She used a lipstick on me from the tube, that she used on other people! All the brushes were also dirty and she shamed me for have too big of a makeup collection 😂. Also she put lash extensions on me when I thought they were removable lashes. She didn’t tell me! I😮 had to take the next day off to go to a beauty supply store to get something to remove them because she didn’t even offer to remove them (I would have paid). 👁 👁 I got them off but pulled at my lashes abs lost some! I couldn’t tolerate the lashes because they were poking me so I couldn’t sleep with them. She is talented with hair cutting/color and makeup but after various unprofessional encounters, I stopped going back because I can’t help but side eye her. 🤣🤣👀

@@DJMonae One of these days someone is going to report her to the health department. 👀 I told my mom the day I get married, I’m not going back to her because I would probably end up with an eye infection👁 and stomach virus 🤮on my honeymoon after letting her do my bridal makeup. 😂 I’m sure you have a good reputation for being sanitary and doing high quality work. 💜
