Careful when enclosing the second base. The rewards sometimes spawn under the base of there is a ceiling over it and you have to deconstruct it all to get to it.

So i nearly finished story, got to lvl50, then i found your tips and tricks and beginner tutorials, now i feel like starting from zero on new server would be the best possible option before new map region opens, but then 15 days till wipe, so hell yeah i'm starting from the begining.

you don't want a switch at the off site fortification. if they take out the switch the guns stop fighting. so you want them direct connected to the home.

All my electrical is spider webbed. I did this when I realized if they cut the power and it's all on 1 line, then the Guns go down; now, each gun has like 3 different connections. If one's goes down, they no longer all go down.

just a question why you walk to build? Seems you make things difficult for no reason. press [~] in build mode for fly by/ghost mode. You leave your body and you can fly freely pass walls for convenient building.

@@P4wnyhof Respect the old school building it has more feeling in it :) . But in other hand the snap function is awful in this game with walk build sometime impossible to snap roof or walls... in ghost mode you can go up/down close till snaps. Also much easier to align furniture looking from above.

connect all generators into one connector then go to a switch before going to containment that way if you are short you can turn off containment to get extra to defenses and do the same on defenses

Another fun thing if you build in a deep water shore. With ghost build mode you can put base to deep water and elevate it with walls or pillions (since you can add things only above water). Put extractor there. NPC can't go deep-water. They will stop at shore-water and just stand there. You only need to deal with ranged and flying npc. Walls still needed to block ranged npc damge. And 3-4 gun can kill the flying spawns. Only need to kill ranged.

Just FYI, if you want the curved ceilings to fit properly, just delete the curved wall under it temporarily, then build the ceiling and rebuild the wall.

build the floors of the filter higher, they are very strong floors and the monsters can climb if they are high enough

you can get the chef rex from a blue quest in the first or second region too on a pvp server thats how i got it, i ve got like 5 minions from blue quests till now im only lvl 30 im doing them all blues

possible to put the filter on the top instead so it is high ground ? or maybe secure around the midel room that u created with more walls around like honeycomb so u have more walls that protect the main filter room inside , yes stone walls are good to protect when u get them , i well try to secure the filter room with more walls arround and start the mission then secure more walls to the entry .

I built my house on a beach next to the ocean, so one side is against the ocean, the other side i put the filter on the edge of my territory with barriers and a flame trap. Yet they still came around the back ocean side and destroyed part of my balcony and my wish machine 😅 i didnt think about building walls around it but would that help any if they still destroyed the back side of my base? And i dont have any turrets yet as I cannot find any refined parts for the life of me.

i used this strategy right from the start, i put my resonator outside with the defenses, i also use flamethrower. flame trap, and gravitational trap*? if i named it correctly haha.

A great spot is tiny island surrounded by water. They can't reach you at all and you can shoot them. Easy win 🤣

@@DequaLB I didn't see anything but that doesn't mean they did a secret patch or something But they fixed some bugs with it I don't remember what specifically but there are tweets in game mail and even the dc server mentions patch notes

a rule of thumb ive learned for looking for silver is to not look at tin unless you are directly mining tin, most ore will spawn 2 or more in a cluster yes you have plenty that spawn by themselves but the biggest thing ive seen is silver and im sure gold has the chance to spawn in place of another type of ore so if you drive around thinking as i do that a large part of the ore you find will have 2 or more nods close together it becomes easy to notice silver at least right now in phase1 it is as i dont have aluminum and tungsten to muddy the waters but ive found about 10 bars of silver all yesterday just driving around and being like hey that tin node looks out of place.
