Thanks again for the simple and clear demonstration! I haven't started an actual quilt yet, I'm working on a pieced casserole hot pad, but I'm using these steps to learn as I work my way up to the quilt! You're a great teacher, thank you :o)

Do you cut the binding off the 3 yards Before cutting the 3 yards for the backing or is it 3 yards total for the backing?

Hey! You do need 3 yards total for the backing and 1/2 yard for binding. If you purchased these together at the fabric store (3.5 yards) go ahead and cut (5) 2.25” strips, then the rest is used for backing! Sorry for the confusion here.

My painters tape doesn't want to stick to my fabric...???

Oh no!!!! I can see how that would be frustrating! I know duct tape works just as well but it may leave residue on your floor which I learned the hard way😂.
