Today I'm going to tell you all about and demonstrate the 10-minute casting resin. This is not the clear epoxy resin that needs to set for 24 hours. This is epoxy resin's little cousin, and it really does set up, and is ready for use in just 10 minutes!
I’ll show you all the BEST Tips and Tricks for outstanding results every time. Everything is explained in DETAIL and made EASY with step-by-step follow along instructions! It’ll be fun! Let’s make a mess!

Thank you so much for fulfilling my request to take the guesswork out of which resin to use and how to use it. I had that box in my hand but wasn’t sure if it was the correct product among others with the title “Resin”. All the details we need to know about it’s usage were answered so the guesswork is gone. The biggest plus is the perfect details it provides thats sorely lacking in clay. Even the texture is better. Excellent video; short, sweet and to the point. Can’t wait to get started. Beautiful, as always 🧡. If you wanted to turn a piece into a brooch, at what point would you add a pin back - while the resin is still a little soft or glue it on after the piece has hardened?

Question. Molds are wonderful but can get pricey. Do you think it’s possible to fill a cookie cutter placed on a smooth or silicone surface with no gaps and should you protect the inside with powder? Or can you make a square or round form and freehand cut a design? I finally bought my first box economically with a Joanne’s coupon and saved almost 8.00. Can’t wait to get started. Thanks for your time.

Hi there my friend. I'm not sure a cookie cutter would work. You may have a problem unmolding. The powder won't work because the resin is liquid and will absorb the powder. You need something silicone so the resin won't stick to it as it cures. But hot glue is basically silicone. You could make shapes on a silicone mat with hot glue and then fill it in with the resin. It really does work best with the molds because of all the detail that it retains. Let me know if you try it and how it works. 😘🤗😍

This resin looks great. Do you have any tips for cutting pieces after casting them, if needed? Like if I made a trim piece for a mason jar and it was too long. Thanks for the great video!

Hi Ginette, I didn't wear a mask because it doesn't have any fumes or smell at all. The only thing it says on the box is that it may be a skin and eye irritant. But I'm a crazy person and didn't wear gloves. I got some on my skin and it didn't do anything. I wear glasses so my eyes were already protected. I didn't find it to be messy, actually clay is messier lol.... You should give it a try, it's pretty cool. Thanks for always watching and sending me messages my friend 😊💖

Hi Norine, It sets up in about 10 minutes and it will turn completely white. You can take them out of the mold at that point. You'll really like this stuff, it's sooo cool. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖

Hi Norine, this is soooo much better than clay. I've starting using it more and more in place of clay. The detail that it captures is just amazing. I think you'll love it. Can you use regular acrylic paint to add color to resin? Or do you have to use the resin paints I see being sold?

Hi my friend! Adding paint would stop it from curing properly. There's a delicate balance between part A and part B. I would only use the resin paints. You may want to do a small batch and try adding alcohol ink or food coloring. Neither one add any bulk. Maybe I'll have to experiment with that lol.....

Hi Janet, they sell resin pigments in powder and liquid for coloring resin. I haven't tried it yet though. I will be soon and I'll do a video using it. If you try it first, let me know how it works. I did try adding some food color and that worked pretty good. Put it in part A and mix it before you add part B. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to send me a message 😊💖
