Video suggestion : a video explaining the nuances between all of the different types of whiskey like Irish, Canadian, Japanese, Scotch, etc etc. That would be very helpful

That's a great idea for sure! Even simple things such as when "Whiskey" is spelled "Whisky" without the "e" 🧐

Hey, my dude. Thanks for this. I'm 60 years old and very physically active. I really want to be a bartender. I love a good drink but never go overboard, and would love to make a good drink an experience for people. I have a culinary arts degree but really have no desire to be back of house. Thanks again, can't wait!

Im going to bartending school because I literally have no restaurant experience. I don’t drink and i know nothing about alcohol and all the various kinds. Im literally dummie level in Bartending/working in food service . I figure its a good introduction for me specifically, and in person introduction before i even get to a bar.

Excellent video for me looking into being a first time bartender. I’ve done tons of retail customer facing work, but learning these specific bartending terms/tools/drinks is what I need. Thank you! Do you have a video of you explaining. Everything that’s actually behind a bar?

Very awesome - I would like to make some extra money and started watching some You Tube for some inspiration. You - are by far, the most influential bartender I have watched. I am RAMP certified but I have never bartended before so that’s not too good. I think I should take your advice and go get some experience at a place on a small scale. Appreciate your content. Thank you. I am from Central PA.

It depends on the area and the bar. I've always been taught 2 oz for a double. Some bars do 3 oz though. I find dive bars will likely go more towards the 3 oz portion 🙂

Interesting video! I'm trying to really hone in on and improve my bartending skills lately! Though funnily enough it's not to make money or work at an actual bar. But I would love to simply do it for fun and offer to play bartender at parties and weddings for friends and family! It lets me scratch that bartending itch but without the stress of doing it as a fulltime job haha

I'm watching this two months into my first ever bartending job. Funny to listen to you saying how we should hang at the bar we want to work at... 'cause that's what I did, and I got the job! Haha Spent half a year going there every couple weeks. When a spot became available, I was on the bar manager's mind so he called me up. Now I'm learning everything from him. My point with all this: it works!! Thanks for all the other great advice. Keep it up! :)

@@observadorcanario I more than less feel the same way! I’m an aspiring rap and hip hop artist (Atuzi search anywhere you stream music), and bartending is really helping me achieve the financial, social, and dare I say emotional goals that I set for my self a year ago. Why do u shake up ur martinis. ? I was taught martinis r stirred. Only James Bond asked for shaken.

Some drinks are stirred like Manhattans, because you want them nice and smooth and others are shaken so you can mix up all the ingredients and give it a cloudy look 😛
