I wanted to revisit this tutorial and make it a bit more beginner friendly so that even beginners know where to start when it comes to making your own vintage collages in Adobe Photoshop.

Select "Sky?" How did you get Photoshop to have the word "Sky" in the select menu?

It's one of Photoshops AI Selection functions. If you can't see it, you don't have the latest version

You mean how to deselect everything? CTRL + D on Windows / CMD + D on a mac :)
