Love that the climbing shoe brands are making more of these types of shoes as there are intermediate climbers that enjoy wearing them as well 🙌🏻

I have been climbing for many years and i bought them 5 months ago for my trainings . They are super comfortable and the friction on it it's perfect.

Beginner shoes need to be comfortable because they've haven't fallen in love (aka gotten hooked) enough to sacrifice comfort.

Just bought these, first pair finally leaving rentals behind and they're great. A good upgrade that gives me a lot more confidence especially while smearing and I still feel like I can wear them all day even if they're brand new

I bought these back in 2020 I think it was. Wore them loads and absolutely loved them. Used them for bouldering and sport climbing both indoors and out. Had to retire them due to the rubber getting too thin. Great shoes though.

Just purchased 5.10 Niad VCS's. Very comfortable shoe when broken in and the stealth C4 rubber is super grippy in the gym, I feel very confident on foot holds!

I found these had the stickiest rubber for any "beginner shoe" I'd tried - unfortunately found them really uncomfortable due to the quite symmetrical toebox which had little "give" being a thick padded synthetic upper. The Defy Lace and Tarantulace felt much friendlier when I first started being leather. Ironically "advanced" shoes tend to favour asymmetrical toeboxes which seem much more ergonomic as most have asymmetrical feet!

The men's and women's versions of the kirigami are exactly the same except for the sizing. The women's version isn't a low volume version. I compared US 8 men's and US 8.5 women's and they fit exactly the same.

That toe rubber rolling over the platform at 2:10 is a Nono for small edges, not very well built. If it matches the price it could be ok for a beginner shoe

Guys, I had heard that the 5.10 climbing brand has effectively become discontinued by Adidas - that they won’t be manufacturing more climbing shoes. Very bad news if true. Do you know anything about this?
