Emma, I don’t ever say this lightly: You are a good teacher. Thank you for being generous with your knowledge and encouraging to your students/audience. This is the 5th video of yours I’ve watched through, and now I feel more courageous. I’ve painted a good long while, but have been very shy about it. You’ve increased my confidence. I can honestly say I’m better for having watched your videos. Please keep it up.

From you I've learned: peach shape: egg shape & a "C: curve! It's SOOOO achievable when you explain it in YOUR own words, not the pro's who make us feel completely useless & talentless, so THANK YOU, EMMA!

Oh Emma...you’re the best. Unlike other channels, you get right to the point. Others tell you their life story then dive into their tutorial. Drives me crazy! You’re a wonderful teacher and painter! 👍👩🏼‍🎨🎨💞

All everyone's said goes for me too. I'm a complete beginner, albeit an old one, I've taken an interest in art very late in life, (63), and I bought some watercolours and paper and brushes, and I'm actually afraid to try it! I'm afraid of making a hash of it, lol. I've watched a lot of KZfaq tutorials lately and yours is the best. Very clear and straight to the point. You make it look so easy. Love the fruit. Thankyou.😊

Mya Pinion Mya, don’t let your fear stop you. I’m a beginner at 67 and have found learning watercolor to be so rewarding. Not that I’m any good at it, but even in the 5 months I’ve been trying, progress has been made. I paint lots of clunkers, but every now and then when something turns out well I’m like a kindergartner...”look what I made!”

I love your work. Your explanations are clear and simple. I used to get frustrated with my results because they looked blotchy, but you cleared that up by explaining about the quality of the paper. I am definitely changing paper. Keep up the great work. i would love to see you paint skies, or even simple landscapes. ;)

Emma, i feel the same way as many of the commenter’s-so many instructors make it so hard for a beginner by NOT sharing the tips and Tricks and differences on paper, paint, etc. I watch your video and actually feel like I could give it a try. You are so relatable and that means Everything to a beginner. Thanks

Your tutorial helped me so much! It finally clicked in my head. After weeks of putting clear water first and then diluting the pigment, bringing more water onto the paper and making a mess, I'm finally starting to get the wet on wet technique. This simple exercise helped me loosen up and work faster. Thank you so much!!

I so appreciate being told/shown the exact colors of the exact brand used/mixed in the paintings. As a true beginner, I am literal in not only painting but in all I do pretty much. I yearn for creativity but I generally make a huge mess of things when I don’t have the exact things/ways to follow. So thank you for not only showing us your mixes/colors but also for always verbalizing the colors each time you make a brush stroke or change. Example is when you used the brown saying brown then noting it was burnt umber when you reached for it. I’ve so enjoyed your videos and trying my attempts at things.
