For anyone new to Ascension I highly recommend the Area 52 (Free Pick) server. If youre coming to Ascension its probably because youre attracted to the concept of classless and wanting to build and design your own character the way you want. Seasonal (Draft Pick) servers are full of convoluted random skill systems that will cause immense frustration if youre trying to get the skills you want, forces you to re-level your character over and over again trying to get the build youre trying to create, and highly encourages you to spend RL money to buy items that will help de-randomize the random skill card system. Its a timesink and cashgrab to try to let you do what you can do for free on Area 52. The free pick server has a great population, never have trouble getting into groups, and has great custom content balanced to match the increased power of players.
