Welcome to today's video where we dive into the exciting world of custom exhaust fabrication! Join me as I take you through the process of crafting a unique exhaust system for my 1965 GMC 2500, right from my own garage. The aim? To empower you with the knowledge and skills needed to tackle a similar project on your own vehicle!
In this comprehensive guide, I demonstrate how you can construct a custom exhaust using just a welder and a grinder-no fancy equipment or lift required! From selecting the right materials to the intricacies of cutting and welding pipes, I provide detailed insights every step of the way.
One of the highlights of this video is the creation of a Y pipe, where I delve into the technique of seamlessly joining two pipes to enhance exhaust flow and performance. Whether you're a seasoned DIY enthusiast or a newcomer to automotive tinkering, this tutorial is designed to equip you with the confidence and expertise to undertake your own exhaust project.
So, grab your tools, unleash your creativity, and let's embark on this fulfilling journey together.
Also! At the end of the video I join the Brunt Team and head over to The Daytona International Speedway for the kickoff of speedweek where I check out the Fresh From Florida 250 and show some crazy behind the scene footage of my amazing experience.
Have questions or insights? Feel free to drop them in the comments below-I'm here to help! Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more engaging content. Let's rev up those engines and start building!

I love that you decided to tuck the exhaust up above the frame rails. Keeps the aesthetic from the side and rear clean and clear

That’s why it’s always good to have old school plug in drills still cause battery powered drills can’t handle thick metal projects they can but you need a bunch of batteries to constantly change out every couple minutes

I know I've said it before Adam but it's defiantly worth saying again and that is I love watching you do your fabricating as you are highly skilled in this area, you have a unique ability to look at a problem then design a solution in your head which for me is a sure joy to watch👌 When I was younger I used to like finding a solution like this and working it all out in my head but these days there just isn't enough room in there even if I used my uncles head🤯😂love the exhaust it's sounds awesome🙏👍John UK

Great build. Maybe a portaband would be a tool to invest in for cutting pipe. Very handy tool. Some maybe 3 inch square white led lights under the bed for backup lights would be way better that those little round ones. Backup lights are not just so people can see you backing up but also so you can see, especially in a big flat bed with limited visibility.

Nice work as usual. Please make sure your tail and brake lights are legal. As they are set into the steel you can only see them clearly if you are directly behind the truck. Some country’s have rules and laws about this to ensure they can be seen on an angle. Here in Australia they would not pass and may affect your insurance etc. keep up the work, say hi to your uncle for me.

@BodeVision

I have heard similar things. I know a drift car that sees extreme vibration and really aggressive driving this is definitely true. I have had plenty of vehicles with solid exhaust and never had any issues. Some have been on the road for years with no problems

Why didn't you use the slip on points as the flanges and instead of welding the slip on joints just clamp them so they are removable.

@@Simon.the.Likeable yeah I was saying you should get a harbor, freight welding bench and with a right with the fans are at in the back of the garage. You can put them on a hinge and then you can hinge them up and then when you need to use it you can hinge them downkind of chain or something that you’d be more comfortable sitting down instead of using a fold up table or the floor when you’re welding
