Great vid. Only thing I do different, is cut off half the taper, to get a straight edge on top, I shoot clipped slingshots . If you cut it like this the top of the band is slightly at an angle. So 20-12 is an 8mm taper. Divide by 2 is 4 mm. So I cut a strip from the edge, from 0 to 4mm, or 1 to 5mm. Then you have a straight/square top of the band. Asa Wilson from Romany Custom Catapults made a vid with that.

Great video! Just ordered a taper template last night, looking forward to trying some new tapers. Also that's a great idea writing the sizes on the bands, thankya! Keep up the great work Can Vandal.

An excellent demonstration of how it should be done.....I've only just progressed from cutting a tongue out of an old boot for a pouch and mini cable ties to secure it.🤣🤣🤣🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇬🇧🇬🇧

Well, it’s definitely fast! I have some .55 SimpleShot black and it is a bit lighter on the draw. I don’t dislike the green but it is a bit more stout. Since I made the video I did cut a smaller taper and it worked really well.

hey can you recommend me a good taper for simple shot .4 shooting 3/8 steel would 20 to 12 work or would it be to lite? i ask because .4 is all i have in bulk

Well, .4 is very thin for 3/8. If it is what you have to work with I would start with a 14-22. That may work. Do you have any 5/16? That would work much better with .4.
