Extra flame flinger info: Because mortars can outrange the flame flinger you should add some barbarians to tank mortar shots. X-bows also outrange the flameflinger so try to avoid placing your flameflinger where there are x-bows. Sometimes you can't avoid the x-bows. Then you should either use another siege machine or you can tank/ take out the x-bow with sui heroes. Sometimes you can skelly donut the x-bow if it's near the cc. Edit: You should also drop a giant/hog rider in front of your flame flinger to test for traps like teslas or (giant) bombs. A tesla can take out your flame flinger so be careful. Sometimes skelly traps get activated and go to the flame flinger. In that case you should drop something like archers or a wizard to take the skeletons down. Skeleton traps can also destroy your flame flinger.

that's why using test loons is often really good instead of giant/hog. because of ground skelly traps
