BEGINNERS Spray Paint Art Tutorial - Episode 05 (Highlights and Shadows)

Hi guys! Thank you for watching this BEGINNERS Spray Paint Art Tutorial - Episode 05 (Highlights and Shadows). In this fifth video in the series, I'm going to be showing you how to put highlights and shadows on your planets for a more 3D look.
I'll also be using some colors to give the planets a more textured look and to make them stand out more in the painting. I will also be showing you how to make a big star using a straight edge and a star stencil.
Below is the list of materials I have used,
- Something to spray paint on like Gloss card or a Canvas or whatever you are going to use to paint on.
- Black and White spray paint and two colours (of your choice) I'm using yellow which is called sunflower and red which is called chili from the Montana white range.
- Two different sized Lids to use as stencils to make your planets
- Something to make the texture with, like Magazine paper, carrier bag, newspaper, etc
- Something to sign your work with
- A mask
- Some gloves
- A straight edge which could be a paint scrapper, piece of wood, or card
- A piece of card with a hole in the middle

Instead of the card people try a CD that you don't need anymore.🙏🏼 and Thanks for the cleaning caps idea something so simple often forgotten.👏🏼

Hi Steve, Thank you so much for watching and for taking the time to leave this comment, and the suggestion I really appreciate it :) Yes a old CD would work fine for the stencil, i use the card cause i can make it bigger then the CD which is better for catching the over spray :)

Hi Paul, Thank you very much for the kind words and for taking the time to leave this comment, feedback and question it's really appreciated :) I 'll be mostly using A3 size paper for this series as it doesn't use as much paint so i can do more tutorials before buying new paint :) I also use bigger paper which is A2 in size and i also use 64cm by 45cm when i'm just painting a painting hope this helps :)

Hi 1, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this comment, and the question I really appreciate it :) The camera is mounted on a custom made stand i made myself, as i couldn't find anything that would work and the camera i use is a dslr one :)
