Depends what you model, Nurbs can be much quicker and cleaner geometry.

Hello< thanks for the tutorial. I m trying surface modeling with just patch and loft and i am watching videos about xnurbs. And it seams that patch/loft gives me some completely unpredictable resault. G2 continuity works reaaly bad with this algorthms. So is it really feels much better to use Xnurbs? And do you know if cad profesionals use only xnurbs or they also struggling with patch and loft ?

Depends on the software, Xnurbs with Plasticity improves the ability to create smooth surfaces. For serious class a surfacing i would recommend Alias by Autodesk.

At 1:17, how did you show the CV points on the surface without raising the degree of the surface? It's difficult to understand without seeing the keystrokes. I'm only able to see the CVs once raising the degree, but then the surface has more CVs than your surface.

Hi, select the face then press z, display the cv's. Shift + s to increase the cv's.

Not sculpting like zbrush, more like sub d modelling. Enjoy my friend.
