Odin has opened up the Ashlands in Valheim, adding new lands, enemies, and craftables! I'm starting fresh with a new game in Valheim as we work through the content to get to the Ashlands.
A brutal exploration and survival game for 1-10 players, set in a procedurally-generated purgatory inspired by viking culture. Battle, build, and conquer your way to a saga worthy of Odin’s patronage!

Don't forget you can boost progress in a new world by visiting an old world on the new toon and grabbing mats/gear from storage in the old world. Can help push progress a bit without ruining the spirit of the play through

The snap point cycle was recently added and it really works well, especially for stone building; just need a little patience as one cycles through to see where it will snap.

CrypticFox, you should do Hildr’s quests. The first two (in the Black Forest and mountains) are pretty easy. The last one (in the plains) offers a challenge in both the combat and how you get into the dungeon.

Re stacking chests: You only managed to stack that first chest (on top of the pre-existing one) because it was at an angle to the wall. You weren't actually stacking it, you were embedding the corners of the chest into the walls. Only way to stack chests is to build a shelf. Oddly though, you can then remove the shelf and the chests will float in the air! Well, they used to. Haven't tested it recently but I'm betting they still do.

Barely started playing four days ago. I built the cart expecting to be stationary and just raise my inventory cap. Didt not expect the dude to latch on and start hauling, somehow pulled a smokey and the bandit while fucking around in the dark forest after a troll stater to chase.(Jumped off a cliff. Ended up dying but damn. What a way to go )

Kool! I think if you want to make steady but fairly speedy progress use the world modifier settings and set resources to either 1.5 or 2 return and death penalty to very easy, which is only 1% loss of skills and you still have to get back to your tombstone (if you should die) to get all your stuff. If I remember correctly, you seemed to be cut off from your boat for one reason or another and had to build another one and sail a long distance to get back to it. I'd recommend keeping an unlabeled portal with you to get back home so in any stressful situation you can drop and dash, or at least have a portal from home to get back to where you were quickly.

Yeah I generally have a portal set up as an emergency to get back home, but the times I ran into problems were just when combat would have prevented me from setting one up anyway haha.

Valheim is such a joyous game. Recently joined some Lego buddies on one of their servers for the Ashlands. Making rapid progress to there. Still gotta beat Yagluth of the plains.

You did not meet the Queen for a showdown in your first playthrough; at least not on a stream. It all ended on the little stone platform/base in the Mistlands after you were repeatedly killed by gjalls, ticks and especially seekers.

We have an old Lancaster bomber and a p51 that fly around in southern Ontario for these kinds of things. Bomber flies every Sunday in good weather and then on special occasions.

@@CrypticFoxGaming I live approx 30 miles from the National Museum for Avaition near Cambridge and the next town East of me is Colchester (12 miles away) is the Current Base of the Red Devils (Parachute Regiment) so WW2 Aeroplanes are not unusual near me and as a bonus the Local Civil Airport is 20 miles West of me so WW2 era planes fly at a lower altitude which is good for a camera buff like me (Current Camera is a Canon Rebel 7) connectted to my 600mm Super Zoom lens.

@@CrypticFoxGaming That local Civil Airpoort is where the Space Shutle on the back of a Jumbo Jet landed on its World Tour approx 20 or 30 yrs ago, its so long ago I was still using Film Cameras unlike now where its all Digital, current camera gear I have is the New Canon Rebel7 with a 150 to 600mm Superzoom for the local Wildlife and a macro lens for the local Orchids approx Adult Thumb size.
