Okay, so the beginning of the video's a little wonky, but it fixes itself, promise.
Cradle to palm, palm to cradle.

When the ball goes from one side of the hand to the other, it's called a butterfly, and covered in one of my previous videos. Thanks for watching!

I imagine you're talking about an acrylic ball, then? If that's so, 100mm is far too heavy for beginners. I don't even suggest acrylics until one is more comfortable with contact juggling. But, if you must: 75-80mm is much easier. After a while, then you can build up to 100mm. As always, I suggest a 100mm soft ball, such as the Sil-X. Thanks for watching!

@Sapp4iregirl For transfers? If your index and middle finger form a V, with the tips slightly touching the bottom of your palm, lifting your knuckles should push the ball in your desired direction.

A larger (size-wise) ball would help you out more, I think. At least 3.5 in, preferably 4. The weight should be close to that of a palm-sized orange, if you aren't that practiced with contact.

tks for posting, great video. I'm having the same issue as commented on top, you don't seems to cover the bit when your hand goes up and, in the same hand, the ball goes over the tip of the fingers from one side to the other. Help! :) tks again

Unfortunately the move is becoming cliché but when done in a way in which the flow artist is actually able to see that it is part of one flow, one state of being, it can be quite effective to watch. But naming things is problematic, perhaps a necessary evil in teaching. But it fractionalizes flow which is non-flow. I knew the first juggler to perform this move. Michael Moschen. He didn't have a name for it. His whole act was "one thing" all the parts interconnected seamlessly. Also, in dynamic play, it is essential to learn the relationships that objects play in determining the techniques as the objects speak to us during the process. Experiment with balls of many sizes, weights, and textures to increase sensitivity.
