Behind Bars - Episode 3: Antananarivo Prison, Madagascar | Prison Documentary
Behind Bars: Philippines - New Bilibid Prison: • Behind Bars: Philippin...
The World's Toughest Prisons will reveal what it really means to be part of this very special world - from different angles. At each prison we visit, the audience will be immersed into daily prison life. The viewer will experience firsthand the challenges each guard faces on a daily basis; likewise, he will learn about the prisoner's struggles to develop strategies for survival.
But the deep insights in this series will also allow the audience to experience the other side of the story: why was the prison built like this? What kind of rules and security measures exist here? And how are the prisoners monitored and, if they break the rules, punished?
This documentation is a never-before-seen insight into an unbelievable world, which exists within the realms of law and justice but with its own definitions of right and wrong.
This is a story audiences will love to experience, while simultaneously being thankful that it isn’t their own.

The plague is still a problem world-wide, but most all cases are found very early because the symptoms are very painful and require medical care. Because of the very early discovery rates of the plague it never has the chance to spread out of control. Many diseases that people think are eradicated are still very much alive and kicking and claim thousands of victims each year.

@@goodkrypollo1706 They said at the start the average person earns less than 33 dollars a month. If you're in jail, where's that money coming from? Even if you have family on the outside, that's still over 5 months full wages, if you're "lucky enough" to earn a full 33/month. And with how corrupt the streets are I doubt they're able to keep the full earning of their labor. 190 dollars isn't a lot for us but it's a lot for them. And if he doesn't have family or friends fighting for him, he's stuck there.

After watching this, from now on if I ever get sad about not having enough money or too many bills or not being rich, I'll just watch this video from my comfortable bed, in my clean non-vermin infested room, with a glass of clean water that I can easily get from the sink at any time, after having a decent meal and a shower with nice smelling soap and shampoo, and give thanks to the Creator or the universe (for those who don't believe in God) for all these amazing things I was blessed with in my life, and then get a good nights sleep so I can wake up in the morning and seize the day. I may not have a lot of money, but this video makes me realize that I really am rich.

The Malagasy government is finally trying to fix the problem. They're building quite a large prison outside of the city. I had a tour at the construction site yesterday. It seems the government had no other option after receiving so much pressure for change after this documentary was released. My dad actually helped film this documentary as a local fixer. Showing the horrors of this prison to the world was the best thing to do for the prison system in Madagascar to change. even though it puts the country i live in to shame, im happy this video has 15 million views

If they have money to build a new prison, why they don't give more money to fix the problems of this one??? Everybody says that this prison is hell... But if you see the biggest problems, they're not because they want this prison to be so awful. It is because they don't give money for nothing.... So everything becomes such a huge problem, and all together make this prison hell...

This prison is true hell, because they want to be hell. In Magadascare, you can see mothers with babies inside. What you can understand from this?? They want this prison to be hell??? @SPELL-CHECK FOR DUMB LOSERS Pointless, irrelevant and gross comment. This has to do with human rights. Especially the human rights of those innocent children. Nothing justifies them living like that. Not even their parent's crimes.

@SPELL-CHECK FOR DUMB LOSERS I don't understand how not liking innocent children in jail when they didnt commit any crimes, makes me a liberal? That makes zero sense, take your politics somewhere else! No ones talking about liberals, we're talking about human rights of children made to live in squalor. Im guessing you think foster children should live with their abusive or drug addict parents and not be helped by the state too? What a sad set of morals you have.
