It makes sense that Kurt liked “Alone + Easy Target” because it kinda reminds me of something Nirvana could’ve done.

Kurt already had pre conceived notions about the drummers writing songs, and wasn’t having any of it.

Interesting to hear that the tracks were recorded in album order, since it makes all the more sense that the last song is called "Exhausted" lol.

I remember going to summer camp in 95 a year after Kurt's passing. My friend was really into this album none of us had heard yet, never really had the push initially the radio stations would push Nirvana. By a country mile in fact.

So symbolic that Nirvana's recording ended where Foo Fighters began. It's no surprise Kurt loved Exhausted and Alone + Easy Target, I can imagine them with his voice. But he didn't want to ask if he could change the lyrics, damnit Kurt.

Great "Behind the Album", well covered, and like your Big Me cover. I started listening to Foo Fighters in 2019 and simply "fell in love" with their greatest hits release - I only knew 2 of the songs. I have purchased albums 4 so far, including the debut. Love every song, find Weenie Beenie rocking and fun..... Love the picture of Kurt and Dave at the end. Great job and thanks!

The only thing you left out were the extra tracks that were also recorded during those sessions which were, “Winnebago” “Podunk” and “Butterflies.” Lastly, the first time anyone heard what Dave and Barrett were doing was during Pearl Jam’s Self Pollution Radio Broadcast in January of 1995 where Eddie Vedder played “Exhausted” for the first time! The other time the public heard anything was when Barrett was a guest on KISW radio in Seattle and he played “I’ll Stick Around.”

Dave Grohl = Brave Soul 🎶 I remember that this is one of the first CD'S I ever bought. Nirvana recorded their last song right up the road from here, where I have lived my whole life. Then Brave Soul recorded the weenie beenie funny gun 🔫 album right there after that... I used to walk from school to my first job cleaning a retirement home. Then when I got some of my first little paychecks I would walk over to Fred Meyers after work in the dark of winter and go buy some CDs to groove to at home, a refuge from the craziness of life. Introversion is the key... Self knowledge is the master key to unlock the beginning of communal solutions 🌍 Neil Young helped me through many lonely times, as well as so many other soulful musicians like Dave Grohl Brave Soul 🎶🌌☮️🌍🌎🌏

Allegedly Eric Erlandson from Courtney Love's (Kurts wife) band Hole took them out of some storage unit Courtney had them in and stole them and he claimed "they were his". I know Eric and Courtney had a HUGE falling out over it and is probably one of the big reasons Hole hasn't reunited or toured in forever. I seen them in the 90's and they kicked ass!

@@DonCrisp178 that is true! She did send one of Kurt’s fans one of his guitars but I know Eric got ahold of some of them too and her and Courtney went to court about it I think or she was talking about taking him to court over it but they may have settled out of court. This was many years ago. Early 2000’s.

the most famous Jaguar or mustang (seen on in utero tour, the blue and red) was Given to REM guitarist, he plays with it on the song "what the fréquencie kenneth ?" album : monster. ( the video clip shows it) the guitar used in smells video clip is in a museum in Seattle. his last guitar the jagstang, created by and for him by Fender do exist. there s 2 models. One was touched and played by Kurt at home sometimes between dec 93/january 94. the model was returned to Fender to make some modifications ( a letter by Cobain explain what he wanted to be changed).
