Good series, I'm interested in seeing more

The Bionicle story (for its time and audience, apart from a few loose ends) is a stroke of genius. To keep your audience asking so many questions and then bringing in revelations slowly until the grand reveal of the Mata Nui Robot over 10 years is brilliant. If you read the Bionicle books without knowing about the Mata Nui robot, the discriptions of the landscapes and the way they travel (the island above) can be extremely confusing. But when it's revealed that they're inside the body of some huge being, it all makes perfect sense

this goes along really well with a line from Nostalgia Critic's Mad Max review where Tamera said "some movies give you a blank page, leaving you with very little or no information. Others give you too much information creating a mess of details that can be overwhelming, what fury road does is it gives you some information but leaves some out for the audience to fill in the blanks" another thing that Kahi didn't quite mention is the medium of MNOG, a video game. Unlike a movie the audience is able to make decissions, while it is crucial to interact with certain characters to progress, most dialogue options are just that: options. You don't have to talk to Kapura, Jaller, and many others but they have answers and you have questions, it's like a match made in the red star

what a fantastic video, the audio when a little bit all over the place at some points but apart from that this was fantastic. this feels like a mix of histoory of bionicle ( well was i fort it would be ) and bionicle autopsy intersted in see where these goes next.

This is a really solid video. Just further cements in my mind how fantastic the Mata Nui Online Game was. I wish it were possible that it could've been adapted into a film, or mini series or something. In fact it honestly has that structure of a TV series, could work well. Only problem is I'd fear Lego would wanna modernise it and try to make more money off of it, when it's a great story as it is for the most part. I just wish it could've been presented in a format that wasn't exclusively an online game. I'd love to see it recrafted, and I feel like its a great story for kids. The one thing that kinda halts it is the fact that the hero is mostly faceless. You never see Takua until the end, and I think that silent reveal is one of the best parts. Because it's not immediately obvious, to a kid at least, that he's who you've been playing as the whole time. Goddamn I could talk about that game for hours. It's so good. Is there a book? I'd love to read a novel that retells the story. I just want to be able to relive that game without sitting in front of a computer for a few hours.

I wish that we could have seen makuta's motivations a little more in 2001. He doesn't reveal much of his mind when the Toa meet him, I would have preferred that he showed more more of his anger and jealousy, perhaps tried to convince them that in his mind he was justified in what he was doing. I would have introduced him as representing chaos, where mata nui represents order, with the sad fact that while everything new comes from something chaotic, but then spends its existence trying to escape it and live under order instead. It wouldn't be the whole story, but it makes them seem more primordial.
