It was the original. Before all the other races at other sporting events, it was the sausage race. It really became special because it used to just be animated sausages racing on the video board, it was like that for a few years. Then I remember being at the game the day it changed. The sausage race was going like normal on the scoreboard but suddenly all the sausages sprinted off screen. There was the sound of a starter pistol in left field, the left field gate swung open and the sausages came racing out onto the field. It was really awesome.
