Jude and Mads were easily the highlight of this film.

Mads was amazing as Grindelwald which he gives the perfect charisma, cunning, genius, manipulative, power and intimidating aura as powerful dark wizard, He gave the opening restaurant scene with strong sexual tension just with his facial expressions it was crazy, I'm definitely looking forward for the 4th movie someday especially their final duel in 1945

I loved this movie! Mads' interpretation of Grindelwald was much more nuanced, low-key, and even charmingly menacing than Depp's. "Secrets" had me riveted from the first moment.

The director must love theatre, who else noticed there was more of practical effects than CGI/blur&green screen on set. I don’t think I even saw any. Everything, or at least, most of it were built on-set. Amazing! 🤯

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is a wonderful addition to the Wizarding World franchise and Fantastic Beasts series. Although the Fantastic Beasts films do have issues, none of them is the story, which has been enthralling from the start. The performances are once again top-notch, with Jude Law delivering his second perfect outing as Albus Dumbledore and Mads Mikkelsen showing what Gellert Grindelwald should be (and I spent three years thinking Johnny Depp was perfect). Depp was brilliant and what happened to him unjustifiable, but Mikkelsen is perfect as Grindelwald and whom David Yates, the director of every Wizarding World film since Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, originally wanted for Grindelwald. He provides the charm and charisma, and cunning, presence, and malice that encapsulates Grindelwald, without the cartooniness of Depp's look and, sometimes, acting. He's a dialled-down Grindelwald in many respects, but to his benefit not detriment - he's grounded in reality, a trait that the Wizarding World has always strived for and encompassed, which makes him so much more visceral, and real, and makes him feel like a huge threat. Seven is the most magically powerful number, and David Yates' seventh Wizarding World film lives up to the standards set by its eight Harry Potter and two Fantastic Beasts forebears, delivering a nuanced, intricate, and powerful story that is also alight with spectacle and photo-realistic CGI, including old and new beasts that aren't token inclusions but fundamental to the story and great to learn about, and gorgeous outdoor environments and indoor sets. Although hardcore fans like myself love the plot and pacing of Secrets of Dumbledore's middlingly received predecessor, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Secrets of Dumbledore shows its creators learnt from their mistakes and listened to the justified criticisms of the previous instalment. Steve Kloves, the screenwriter of every Harry Potter film bar Order of the Phoenix and producer of the Fantastic Beasts films, has aided in writing a wonderful script for Secrets of Dumbledore that is packed with emotion, depth, action, and humour. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore has proven itself worthy of the four year wait. It is a brilliant third chapter in the Fantastic Beasts series and sets up its latter half to have a thrilling journey and conclusion. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is absolutely phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal. It has a beautiful story (as did Where to Find Them and Crimes of Grindelwald) and was beautifully shot. The beasts looked photo-realistic and were absolutely amazing to see and learn about, and Mads Mikkelsen is the perfect Grindelwald. I cried so much, and will be seeing it every week until it leaves theatres.

I dearly hope the last movie will just go full dark mode.. Show the war for the horrible experience it was for the wizarding world. The casualties, the betrayals, the sinister nuances. Depp or Mikkelsen, both did a wonderful job. Depp was very charismatic as the evil, scary wizard, where as Mikkelsen truly showed us how he could charm everyone onto his side. (Can't forget Colin though, we lost him in the series WAY too early.. Fantastic display of wizardry acting!)

I think the hatred these films receive is absolutely outrageous. It’s beyond uncalled for. To think that other franchises get critical acclaim with none of the artistic quality and superb craftsmanship seen in this series, and on display in this video, is horrible. I’ve seen the most dumb criticisms and insults leveled against these films that are invalidated by this behind the scenes footage alone. It’s beyond offensive. Harry Potter is not something that a lot of fanboys seem to care about, yet it’s this franchise that gets the smearing and the vitriolic hatred? That just goes to show that many have a mean-spirited ulterior motive in their smearing. It’s despicable to see.

I really wish more behind the scenes videos were like your "On Set Experience" video where you see things as if you were a fly on the wall. This is just a bunch of talking heads of actors selling the movie.

David F. Sandberg mentioned in a video of his once that BTS for big movies is usually more of a promotional take for the movie and not very educational. I agree with that and wish we would be able to get more in depth bts with comments from the director and dp. That would be awesome.

Well it was the usual actors talk without going into Details about Filmmaking (directing, camera Work, VFX techniques), so i get much more Out of your traditional filmriot episodes

I can't wait for the day when someone comes up with something new in the movie industry like The Matrix did back then. VFX was new and it blew everyone's minds. Right now VFX is just...I don't know, we've seen too much that it doesn't excite anymore.

wow, it looks to me like they despilled most of the blue-/greenscreens for this BTS release. Is there a new technique used I don't know about yet with more grey-ish screens?
