in this video, I share my tips to help you maximize the space that you have in your fish room to the optimum level. In doing so you can do so much more with your fish room. I added two Brine shrimp hatcheries a green water culture, two plant nurseries and a quarantine container under my existing fish tanks. This did not crowd my room nor take away from my aquariums. I simply used wasted space to my advantage. These are some of my tips, I hope you find them helpful

I started in the fish keeping hobby in my mid teens with a 5 gal. tank and a couple of white cloud mountain fish and my tank count quickly climbed to 35 tanks and a diy 300 gal. tank for my first koi as my fish room grew. Over the years the tanks disappeared and larger diy tanks took over to house my koi culminating with a 3000 gal indoor pond before having to downsize to a smaller house and smaller, 2000 gal indoor pond, following a divorce. Fish stayed, wife left. 🤣 Unfortunately no room left for aquariums any more. 😢 Fingers crossed you get that indoor pond to finally complete your fish room. 🤞🏻

Totally awesome tour tips and tricks Chris. Yes we’ve seen a lot of people turn their aquarium sideways in their fish room. It certainly makes more efficient, but not really as much to enjoy them in our opinion if you can get away with keeping them horizontal, we would certainly do it that way, we would build up more before we put more next to each other in our opinion but you gotta do what you gotta do with the space that you have that’s for sure….

I like how you have the eclectic sockets above the tanks, I just recently overflowed one of my 20 gallon tanks while doing a water change, only about a half of a gallon of water came out of the tank but it went directly into one of those multi socket electric boxes that I have with a digital timer built into it and by time I noticed what was going on it was smoking/sizzling lucky I cough it in time and pulled out the plug or who knows what might have happened, You are definitely using almost all the space you can in your fish room, I think if you turned those bottom tanks sideways it would still look pretty good.

"wayward plants" 😂 storage is so important in a fish room, the way you're doing that looks really great. I've been working on reorganizing mine lately because I've messed it all up 😅. I would think that it would be difficult to maintenance the tanks sideways, but I guess my suggestion would be to put a couple that way and see what it's like for you before you get more tanks. I really enjoyed the tour, Chris! 🙂👍

Loved this so much, a wee peak behind what keeps The Stubb propped up. I do the same as you in terms of utilising the realestate under tanks for extra hobby space. My opinion, don't do the sideways tanks thing. Makes it awkward and awkward becomes a chore. What we want is things that improve the hobby and keep it a joy. Just my take mate.

It is always surprising how much stuff we accumalate. Even though I have boxes for things I still cant find where things are. The other is the amount of power cords we have for all the different pieces of equipment, that soon look untidy and possibly dangerous.

Got the stash of methelyene blue lol we use a plastic clear tote too about 5 gallons but you could squeeze 7 in you you reaaally need to. Looks like a great set up Chris! I'd say it is alot harder to work on sideways tanks now granted my two sideways tanks are a brackish water that I have to clean once a month and a dart frog habitat so no water changes there, but even still it isnt easy to work on the back half

Hi there. I have yet to be successful in getting the baby brine to adulthood. But hatching baby brine is extremely easy. I put 6 tablespoons of aquarium safe salt per gallon..( pickling or Kocher is fine) put a tablespoon of eggs in. Place bubbler in .. low light for a day and a half... then put light on to attract the baby brine... the eggs should either float to top.. some don't hatch and sink. The light draws the brine shrimp and then scoop them out... I did a video way back.. I will attach it kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qdZooaerxsjYnKc.htmlsi=7L1pDlVUQonzMYMg
