In this episode, the Crew Reviews interviews acclaimed actor and bestselling author Dale Dye. Dale is a retired Captain in the United States Marine Corps and president of Warriors, Inc.-the pre-eminent military and training advisory service to Hollywood.
Capt. Dye has worked on more than fifty movies and TV shows, including several Academy Award and Emmy winning productions such as Platoon, Born on the Fourth of July, Casualties of War, JFK, Outbreak, Mission: Impossible, Saving Private Ryan, Rules of Engagement, and Band of Brothers.
And when Dale isn't helping to mold Tom Hanks or Matt Damon into soldiers for the silver screen, he's writing thrillers. His latest BANGKOK FILE came out earlier this year.

Best interview of Captain Dale Dye I have seen. You captured the real Dale Dye, the guy I served with every day for four months in Beirut 82-83. That's the most relaxed and authentic I have seen him so congratulations for getting him to relax and bonding with him. I know his secret for being so productive. In the four months we spent together, his cot was about five feet away from mine. He rarely slept in it though. I don't know if he ever slept. I would have the duty in the middle of the night and I would find him in his office, either writing or working with his hands. I once walked in on him defusing a ChiCom grenade he found out in the boonies, calm as can be. He insisted it wasn't dangerous. The other thing was he never ate. Seriously, I never saw him consume anything other than coffee, cigarettes, cuban cigars and scotch.

Cpt. Dye is a hoot. Amazing post-military career. This session of "At The Movies" was unexpected, and very enjoyable. You're all doing a great job of keeping the trajectory of the Crew Reviews upward and onward. Oorah!

Captain Dale Dye USMC(Mustang*)`. Is a friend of mine. We met at the late Paul's Italian Villa, in Simi Valley CA. for our Marine Corps League meetings. I'd often bring my daughter. Captain Dye would frequently piggy back my daughter around the restaurant & banquet room. The 1st time Captain Dale Dye showed up, he was in his Officers Blues, after his introduction, he said "Now everyone go get your blues on!!" Our League meetings were casual, uniform optional. At one point we had the largest Marine Corps league in SoCal!! *Mustang: "Was once prior enlisted before commissioning. The MECEP is a great opportunity for Marines who desire to become an officer...

What year was this Interview ? Dale Dye ! SO many great comments : Col Dye "I hate it also" , 29:00 mins,,, Sh*tbirds exist in every industry , in Mining and Oilfield, my areas! LA a meat Grinder for talent ! Pitsenurger ! Last full Measure ? Amazon 2023 ? Dye Recalled for Col Bob 'Sink' portrayal in BOB and agree,,,44:09 'Get' ! and listen ! Rough Riders , 46:00 Wood, # 2 to Teddy Roosevelt. I never knew he trained the 'German actors'' pre BOB. Stupid questions overall and they should be ashamed,,, not worthy of DD, Great Dale Dye answers !

I hate that every time somebody raises and points a gun you hear the hammer cock or the slide cycle. I hate that actors playing assassins pull out a gun and cycle a round like they didn't show up locked and loaded.
