From an Arsenal fan, I think Spurs has done a fantastic bit of business in singing Maddison and got him at a very good price. I've heard he was an Arsenal fan, but that doesn't matter. Most footballers hardly play for the team they grew up supporting. I think he'll be a fan favourite. I've also thought of him as a good player who can obviously get better. Good luck

Nah, I don't think you're a fan of any team other than yours, when you're a professional player. So maybe when he was young... But back then most people were fans of Arsenal or United. There were not a lot of teams to root for. It changed last 10 years.

Amazing, we have the 2nd best CAM in the Premier League from when James Maddison joined Leicester up to today. Kevin de Bruyne on 103 goals and assists, Maddison on 79, Bruno Fernandez on 78 and Trent Arnold on 60. Welcome to Spurs James Maddison.

@@Perling_9 And if Maddison was at City, his goal and assist contribution would go up considerably. Marez, Silva, Halland and Grealish his targets for assists and all the chances on goal he'd get. He's playing at Leicester who are in decline after losing their top players. Vardy is missing lots of assist chances created by Maddison as he's getting old now. Maddison does the lost, corners, set pieces, through ball assists and scores goals. He's a Rolls Royce of a CAM and we have him in his prime at 26. Looking forward to see him develop his relationship with Kane and Son. Well done with the CL tropy mate and the treble.. An amazing side you've got there with everyone else trying to catch up. More success is coming your way for sure.

Absolutely brilliant signing. This for me was way bigger than either Rice or Mount. Really wanted Maddison at the club, especially if it was what Ange wanted. Great little player in his prime, that will transform our midfield alongside Bentancur. That's a deadly combo. Reminiscent of Erikson and Dembele, and I believe an improvement on them. Finally !

@@baggy79 of course he did, and every reliable source says he impressed him. Even in his interview he says that Ange called him before the transfer happened and said that no matter if he joins or not, he will make Spurs a completely different team either way
