Elio DiRupo, throught stories very reminiscent of what the Qanons proponents are telling today, just without the whole "Satanistic" aspect (Belgium is one of the less spiritualistic country in the world, after all), replaced by the always efficient "Elites/Freemasons" frame. Almost 30 years after the facts, the dutroux affair is a story of completely unefficient police services working on an crime that was just too unthinkable to be perceived, not a vast conspiraty of paid kidanpping to provide victims to some elites circles... I understand that this affair (as with everything that happens in Belgium) is not well publicized internationally, and sadly that often means that only the most spectacular and biased point of view are disseminated by authors with ulterior motives, so be very careful about what you read or hear about such events that happens in a foreign country you don't know the language : things can and will be lost in translation, sometimes deliberately...
