Enlightening explanation. As Mr. Ashok says once black box is examined evidences of happenings will be more clear for conclusions. What I understood is that ATF is brought to minimum level before landing, if so, which would have been the nearest airport to make use of with the minimum ATF.

Really i feel, the Pilots & Drivers must be have more responsibility in there Decision & work more than the doctors. They must keep your advice about pride, careless, stress, & over confident I am not says this is only pilots error. if the instruments, weather & climate, time, runway maintanance, airport authority lazyness to solve the safty measures in runway like these had problem we cannot do anything in some time. but human error we can solve. Then passenger's trust them. They are equal to the god

The Third trial to land must have been a psychological pressure to land totally... Leading to the mishap.. They could have chosen a different airport given the adverse conditions to land

Well explained sir, really feeling sad for Kozhikodu accident. May be the pilot might have tried another 1 r 2 times to land again r get permission to land in a nearby airport. Whatever experience v have also sometimes it wont help us. Only thing we need is patience to complete the work successfully. Whatever it is ....it is a big loss to the people who are involved in the accident. It cannot be fulfilled by anyone. Let God give confidence and strength to the family members.

I wonder no one said its mechanical error due to improper maintenance of flight in lockdown and its not fully serviced and checked to fly after lockdown period... Even its happened in Pakistan... If this accident analyze well... Then it will save few more accidents in future... This interview is not in right direction...

Until we get the details from blackbox, we can't say anything. We can't blame the pilot. But yes if he had already crossed the touchdown mark, he shouldn't have landed but should have gone around. I heard he tried to land on runway 10 the last time when there was tail wind, which would merely push the plane more further than the touchdown mark . Ther have to conduct a thorough investigation of the runway if there were rubble deposit n water as it was raining heavily. I had seen one video of Calicut airport in which the runway had cracks on it. Not sure if they have corrected those now. Moreover the pilot would have applied brakes n due to slippery surface, plane would have skid. We ppl don't take steps until something major happens. All we can do is pray for the deceased families and may the souls of those passed rest in peace.

I hope the pilots dint hav any option rathr than to land in their 2nd/3rd attempt as said by the intial investigation Coz they already attempted twice which wud hav emptied or near to empty their remaining fuel maybe the contingency fuel might hav helped them divert to nearby airport but who knows how much fuel was actually left to make a safe landing elswr without FDR n CVR analysis we cant talk abut fuel at all Nearby airports were CBE, CNN, COK n MYQ airports well all these areas r hit with the same low pressure weathr n dono when the weathr wud deteriorate they cannot make multiple attempts for landing in any of these airports if they had to divert Many wud hav gone thru the head of those pilots N ppl spoke abut the black hole phenomenon which might hav played a role as well They cud hav avoided the crash if they had planned it much earlier even before trying their first attempt n diverted directly to nearby airfield known tat CCJ is a tabletop n risky at tat time of the day with such a weather These kinda table top runways shud only be allowed to use turbo prop airplanes n not jet engines.. With such a minimal clearance around the runway n a gorge at both its end any jet engine aircraft which skids off the runway wud endup in tragedy RIP to those who lost their life

16:07 if you wonder... It is our Air India AI101 and if you actually listen to ATC conversation, you will get a hint that ATC controller definitely thought it's going to crash and all are going to die.

Calicut airport runway isn't that small it's 9000 ft more than other table top airports in India- this flight should have landed within 6000 ft that's the rule - extra 3000 ft is for the safety - If it is larger flight where Calicut doesn't have permission to land it's 8000 ft where still 1000 ft is extra - by both scenario it's human error.
