Behringer WING Quick Input Output Patching to Stage Box via AES50 (Part 2)

This video teach you the quickest step to patch and assign all inputs and outputs of the stage box (Behringer S16, Behringer S32, Midas DL16 & DL32). Since AES50 is the communication protocol between WING and the stage box, this video will show you the way to patch AES50A inputs and outputs and ensure you can make the console sing as fast as possible once you have the console.
In subsequent episode that to be posted in this tutorial series, we will explore more in depth of the patching.

Hi Eric, My Wing will be at FOH and in the Stage i have DL32 and M32. I need actually 40 Channels on my Wing (at FOH). Since DL32 has only 32 inputs can i somehow use the M32 as a second stage box and connect rest 8 Channels? If yes How? Thanks a Lot for a quick explaination

You need connect wing to m32 first then to the stage box. M32 will become your monitor board and passing all dl32 signal from dl32 to wing. In addition you also send M32 local input to wing

Assuming your AES50 A connect to stage box and AES50 B to second WING. Just patch all AESA In to AESB Out. Make sure first WING is master and second as slave clock.

Hi Eric, first i must say, i'm able to follow your videos better than any of the other videos. Keep making more with the same level of details. So my question is, "stereo inputs would take up 2 channels on the DL32, 1 stereo input on the wing, the ALT. on that channel would complete the pair. Stereo Panning, " LR" would be automatic? or i would have to do the stereo spread? THANK YOU.

Alt does not function that way. Your stereo signal will take up 2 channel at dl32 (that's left signal and right signal). You need to tell the console that the 1 and 2 is a stereo signal (e.g. AESA 1 & AESA 2). You can do that by changing the mode from mono to stereo during the patching. At the mixing channel 1, you can assign this to AESA 1&2 since they have paired it early, you will automatically assign to LR for that channel. For Alt, this is completely another feature. You can use in such way. Under normal situation I play from my pc signal (AES 1 & 2). I can assign my phone playback to AES 3 & 4 where we can assign it to ALT of the channel 1 of the mixer
