I was born in and grew up in New Orleans walking distance from the French Quarter. I was always surrounded by the best of jazz music and I must tell you that you have succeeded in capturing the authentic sound and sound of true New Orleans Dixieland jazz music.

Great “keys” from other period tunes such as putting on the ritz used in the solo ties this really well to the era overall and shows the bands love of music from the era as well to improvise with. A very nice thing to see done.

Completely love the tone in the clarinet! Makes me wish to get up to that tone, yet I have no idea how! Also the whole band was amazing!

Actually not a dixieland number but a product of the swing era. I think Benny Goodman was the first to record it. Composer credits are to Jacob Jacobs, Sholem Secunda, Sammy Cahn & Saul Chaplin. I think Sammy Cahn was responsible for the lyrics. He was a prolific lyric writer and could make up verses at the drop of a hat.
