In the latest spat between Beijing and Manila in the South China Sea, China has defended its move against Philippine ships near a flashpoint reef after it was accused of taking direct measures against Philippine personnel.

I disagree with the Filipino lawyer about the last thing he said. In reality, the Philippine Congress has been cutting the budget for the Philippine Military and instead, realigning the funds for "Ayuda" (aide to the "poor") because its mid-term elections next year and they need the votes. The Philippines instead just relies on the goodwill of the US and other allied countries to supply them with military equipment. Heck the last time the Philippines bought brand new warships was during the Duterte administration, the first one launched just a couple of days ago in SoKor (the guided missile frigate, BRP Miguel Malvar).

The PCA is not an UN body and arbitration cannot be done when one party is not part of the arbitration and is not represented. Both sides must agree to arbitration. China signed and ratified UNCLOS with provisions made at the time she signed as was provided for under the articles of UNCLOS - as did almost every country which signed up.

China's illegal presence and creeping expansion within the Philippine Exclusive. Economic Zone is a blatant disregard to international rule of UNCLOS China's 1947 nine-dash line claim was invalidated by the UNCLOS Permanent Court of arbitration at the Hague in 2016... China is among the first countries who signed the UNCLOS in 1982 and ratified it in 1994. But China now refuses to follow the rule based order of UNCLOS and rejects the arbitral court's' ruling to pursue its belligerent expansion.. obviously China wants absolute control of the WPS , control of trade, navigation and overflights in the south china sea. Freedom of navigation on the high seas and EEZs should be upheld for all nations China must desist it's belligerent expansionism.

Who wants war, you Google up current events and who is the aggressor. Have you seen any Filipinos now and in the past confronted China in a way that is unlawful? We have been so patient, but that China showing how barbaric their method is pisses me off.

How can a country solve through negotiation if one party thinks it is above the law, we have been so patient, you saw other neigboring countries like Indonesia and Vietnam previously had already confronted them and put down ships made in China. But, us Filipinos, when did we start a war, even now, we practice patience and restrain ourselves not to show how close we are to losing our patience.
