Beijing Subway Changping Line was opened back in 2010, which travels northwest outbound from downtown Beijing, and travels half way to the Changping District. Then in 2015, the line extends outbound, all the way to the front of the mountain loaf via suburb Changping town.
Then in 2021, the line extends inbound to Qinghe Railway Station, which is a new high-speed train station that serves to major ski resorts in Chongli, the facilities for Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Event. Finally, in 2023, the line extends a much longer way downtown once again, which goes under a major avenue called the "College Avenue" (学院路), so that it connects up major college campuses. Passengers who ride this line are mainly consisted of students and university faculties along the line, as well as residents in Changping town who commutes to downtown Beijing for work.
This video is taken behind the operators' cab of a train, where I negotiated with the staff and asked for agreement. Luckily, the staffs are very nice and supported me for this video. Thanks a lot~
Scenes outside of the window of this line are magnificant: passengers could see towns weaving with forrests, farmlands, rivers, artificial parks, as well as mountain loaf far away. These scenes are great for relaxing for any passengers riding it. In contrast with all the green scenes described above, the theme color of this line, which is light pink, highlights a theme of "youth" and "liveliness", corresponding with campuses along this line.
