The plaintiff hired the defendant to decorate her 40th birthday bash. However, the plaintiff says the defendant told her one price and then upped it at the last minute after she had already given her a deposit. The plaintiff canceled the job and is suing the defendant for her deposit back. The defendant insists the only reason the price increased was because the plaintiff requested additional decorations.

@fitnessfocused Be that as it may, he's still a bailiff not a judge. You'd have to be absolutely stupid to be looking at the bailiff in court when it's the judge that decides your fate, regardless of gender. I don't think in this case it's an authority thing, she was just being thirsty😅

It is what it is. The Plaintiff set out from the start to use the Defendant for her ideas and then stiff her for the payment. I'm really surprised that she had the nerve to sue the Defendant for the deposit. She was so guilty that she couldn't even look the judge in the eye while she was lying. And the old "This is a new phone. Those texts that are my proof were on the old phone." scam. Has that B.S. ever worked for anyone in court??

According to the complaint, the Plaintiff was told the final cost WHEN she gave the Defendant the deposit. Not after. Also, coming up with half of the texts and saying it's a new phone, makes no sense. The texts also prove the OPPOSITE of what the Plaintiff was claiming. The Defendant should have sued for the balance of the contract. It sounds like the Plaintiff used all the Defendant's ideas. That would have been interesting to see...
