I hope that people will soon stop considering skin colour all together. It means Nothing what colour your skin is, what colour your eyes or hair is, it is so superficial and people that spend time on trying to judge a person by physical traits, are ignorant if i can be honest. I'm sorry to hear that your daughter experienced racism, and that anyone around the world is being judged by physical traits, that they were born with. We are all equally the same, and i hope that we're moving into a time, where people are more understanding. I hope you guys, understand that the majority of people in Denmark isn't racist, and aren't ignorant, 1 person every now and then, being a jerk, can make you forget, that it is a small minority of dumb people making you feel different, when, i hope that the majority of us, accepts eachother, the way we are, and the way we are meant to be

1st time I've come across your channel, interesting information you're sharing but what is the difference between the N word used in the US and N word used in Denmark? It's exactly the same thing but from your explanation it sounded as if you're implying that the one used in Denmark is not as bad but only bad because it reminds one of the way it's used in the US? but it's the exact same word and meaning.
@Milly_in_denmark
@Milly_in_denmark 14 күн бұрын
@@swaziM10 You got that right. When they use the N word, most are not using it in a negative way as they use it in the US. In their ears it’s not bad. But most of us don’t like the word and I’m guessing it will be even more insulting for African Americans that reside here. So the government even banned the word to be used in parliament. Like I said if a young child or older person uses the word, I’m not offended because they don’t know better. But the rest do know. And if they don’t, I let them know politely😊

Just a curios question! If I as a danish person was living in Uganda, would people there be looking at me with curiosity or would they not? I mean if i was walking there in the streets of an ugandan city would they be curios? I have an cousin and she has blond hair and she was one year in Brazil and people always wanted to touch her hair. I dont think its always about racism, but its because you are curios. The truth is that there're so few black people in Denmark (formerly known by the neutral word 'negre'), that the actual frequency of appearances in commercials and movies is a vast statistical overrepresentation. Also, since most black people here are well educated, probably adopted as kids or married to a Dane or just working here in well paid jobs, there's no resentment against them - much more curiosity and friendliness. Does that exclude the few true racists? Not at all, but surely not all Ugandians love every single white person. PS I don't like being referred to a 'white person' as I struggle all Summer to get a tan.

I don't know people just like traveling and living where they find a suitable lifestyle. I think the main reason people complain so much about racism in the USA is because of the media and very small percentage of people complain to other people world wide, overall the entire people of America have people from the entire world and people look bad on any group who says things like white this black that when talking in a bad way and not addressing there own color of people like themselves. So for instance here in America people like to be many ways introverted piece of mind not want attention and don't like others almost yelling when they talk. Ok yet other people like to be extroverted always attention seeking and talking so load you can hear them clear when not even near. Overall America has mixed people of any color and family nomatter where you go in America, no one listens to negative people anymore, that's why negative people are so jealous, almost everyone is mixed in some type of way in America nowdays.

Denmark is not the USA and words are not used in the same way, because we don't have the same history and the same traditions. In general and historically, the N word in Denmark was not a racist word, it was a word for all Africans, just like the word Caucasian or Mongoloid. It is only here in recent years that the N word in English, has come to Denmark and it has mainly come through music from the USA.

I don’t remember saying anywhere in the video that Denmark is USA. Some people in Denmark use the N word in a hurtful way and why black people dont like the word. It’s plain simple.

There are plenty of bad people here too. I'm Danish. My father was too. He was a racist who used the N word deliberately to insult African people. I teach my children to be polite and never use insulting names about other people. There is so much ignorance and misconception in the world. I wish we could put aside all our differences and accept all people for their beauty

I am very sorry that you only meet the 1% in Denmark, we are not ignorent, we know exactly what is going on in the world, and please remember, racism is sadly going both ways, Danish (white) with a very proud black wife, living in Senegal, we meet "black" racism some times, I am called Toubab nobody will explain me what it's really means, my wife (not Senegalese) is called Njack (more or less spelling) meaning animal, so don't be so sensitive about names, in Africa you name other people, in the vest there is also stupid people 😁 Total meaning of my little outburst, racism and stupid behavior is everywhere

I think 🤔 I do mention that racism is everywhere and like I said, I focus on the good. But the difference is in Denmark people seem to deny that racism exists.

To me you taking offence at a Danish word becasue it sounds like a word in a different language becasue of some historic events that happended centuries ago on the other side of the planet is racist. You KNOW its a neutral word and still complain about it. My language is an integral part of my culture and my culture is a very important part of my identity.

1) your government won’t use that word in the parliament and they have made it politically incorrect. So don’t make it sound like it’s just me making this up. 2) The N word here in Denmark has been used on us negatively and you know it, but oh well! You should have the right to call us the N word because your language is integral part of your culture and your culture is a very important part of your identity? Let’s agree to disagree.
