I used to be the friend who didn't have their life together but after I realised how badly it affected me I started getting up at around 6AM and have a daily routine and bedtime so my body was never disorientated. It's seriously helped with my procrastination and my mental health. I know from experience that it's not very easy to get into it (especially if you have a packed schedule) but once you start it feels so nice. You just feel in control of your life and it can help with so many things. 🥰🥰

Have a friend who's like this. She's trained herself to the point where she doesn't even need an alarm, she wakes up at give or take 10 minutes around 6AM. I lived with her for three months last year, by the time I wake up at 9 she's done all her chores, jogged a mile, and finished two homework assignments. Literally a superwoman.

I also dont drink coffee or anything. I wake up, can immediatelly roll out of bed onto the floor and do pushups. It's honestly great. Some people tease me for being a "grandpa" who goes to sleep at 10pm but honestly i wouldnt give it up for the world

The fun thing about having a friend who has everything together is that you always have a role model, and if you’re friends with them for a while you just naturally start getting better I mean I’m *never* gonna get up at mfing 5:30 but I’m taking care of myself better :)

Very true I recently changed to homeschool (by recently i mean like 2 years ago )and had a very good role model right after transferring and I instantly started changing the way I thought I’m still working on when it comes to fitness and health but I was able to learn to be a lot more mature and I’m 15 now but when I think about when I was still in public school my immaturity blinded me to having meaningful relationships now I feel like I am able to actually have relationships that last a lot longer not just love relationships but friendships too

The “it looks like a font!” Is relatable. I was helping go through forms with my mom at her work when I was little, and there was a form that I asked my mom if they used a printer, and she said “nope, just the neat handwriting. Yours needs to look like that.” (It was written in pencil, so it was true.) It legitimately looked like Arial. Like the default font whenever you make a new document. (Also parents need to chill with the whole “you need to have perfect handwriting” and comparing yours to every single piece of handwritten paper. Like jeez, sorry I didn’t have muscle memory, the time, or extremely fine motor skills yet.)

I've struggled with high functioning anxiety for most of my life and have been the friend that "has their life together". From the outside, my life looks great, organized, almost perfect. But, I never see what everyone else sees. I have this overwhelming sense of failure and a need to be better- in almost every area of my life. It's taken years of therapy and deliberate effort to get to a point where I can relax more and not compete with myself. I've learned that perfection is a trap that keeps you in an endless loop of unhappiness and self sabotage. So, to anyone who has found themselves on this side of the road and can relate, just know you're not alone and no one expects you to be perfect but you- and you can give yourself a break this one time 😘 Edit: TYSM for 700+ likes 😀😀😀

I haven’t ever struggled with high functioning anxiety before but I’m an overachiever and a perfectionist that used to (and to some degree still is) constantly kicking myself down, even when I’m already on the ground. Like, I have a great amount of mercy and tolerance for the imperfections/flaws and mistakes of others but it would be a gross oversimplification if I said that I need to extend that kindness and understanding to myself more. I have been learning how to love and accept myself more these days and finally try to see myself in a not-so-highly-critical light like all the frickn’ time! I just wanted to say that I’ve learned it’s okay not to be perfect and it’s quite literally impossible as a human so STOP PUTTING YOURSELF DOWN JUST BECAUSE YOU AREN’T PERFECT! Fact of the matter is… you never will be. Remember to love and accept yourselves as you are everybody 💝!

I’m so sorry. Just wanted to tell you that you will always be good enough. You’re great. Even when you don’t think so. I know a lot of “perfect” Instagram models who fans will tell them “I’d kill to look like you” and everyone thinks they look perfect. But in reality they’re some of the most insecure people and obsess about their appearance, constantly touch their face, freak out if makeup isn’t perfect, take 4 hours to get ready and are always late, blow people off when they feel “ugly”, etc. they’ll use FaceTune and photoshop apps for hours perfecting their photos, which end up half the time never being posted bc “it’s not good enough”, they’ll delete n freak out over comments that are any way negative about their appearance (no matter how tiny), spend so much money on injections and makeup and hair stuff, spend hours and hours taking pictures to get the right pose that makes them look thinner or on the good side of their face, freak out if anyone dares take a candid picture of them or posts it and insists all friend pictures be taken on their phone so they can edit and post it, spend hours lurking and comparing their looks to other Instagram models and feeling awful, not do live streams/video they can’t edit or spending lots of money to get expensive equipment and software so they can, won’t take pics without ring lights, have tons of anxiety about it, etc. In reality they actually look like average girls without all the makeup, lighting, and photoshopping. They have acne and bad skin, they are shorter or weigh more, they don’t have as big lips or small of a waist, and some look barely unrecognizable IRL like a totally different person. A lot of people think they’re perfect but most of them just have such bad anxiety about looks that they go far out of their way to make it look perfect by whatever means possible. And all those hours and hours of wasted time make them feel worse. They’re not happy esp when they know they don’t look anything like that IRL, it just gives them a short quick fix bandaid boost of self esteem when they get comments calling them beautiful, but then they look in the mirror and get depressed. It’s really sad and I know one girl who tried to kill herself twice over not looking perfect on Instagram and being obsessed with looking perfect physically online and the toxic culture and enabling surrounding it.

@@kx_xx It’s so sad how this is a 100% true and that it only keeps on getting worse, because the more you alter all of the pictures you post online, the more insecure and depressed you’ll feel because you realize that that girl looking back at you isn’t actually really you. Everyone would do well to repeat the following mantra from day to day so you won’t get sucked into the never ending vacuum of perfection. “Beauty doesn't matter because in the end, we all lose our looks and all we have is our heart(and soul).” Ann Curry

As someone who doesn’t have their life together, I’m glad she was showing that character having admiration for the one that has their life together. I’ve seen so many where the person who doesn’t have their life together hates on the other person because wow that’s so not relatable. Also, I have a feeling a lot of quirky girls try and portray that image and hate on people who are actually organised. It’s refreshing to see a more friendly relationship instead of seeing that typical pitting women against each other behaviour. Who said anything about pitting women against eachother though?? Only you brought that up. The video is made by one person playing 2 characters so of course it looks like women because the creator is a woman, but these type of people aren't just women. Sorry not sorry but I do hate these kinds of people because they are the ones who create the "standard" for the way the rest of us have to live. It's like the semi-joke about how 8am work/schooldays suck but morning people decided to make that the rule while the rest of us were still asleep. The deadlines, the workweek, the expected start of days, etc are all decided upon by them FOR us while some of us are so debilitated we can't meet those standards and fall behind in this strict societal structure they created. It gets to the point where it's an ableism problem tbh

Not always of course, but I also didn't go into detail. It's not just necessarily good handwriting, because there's so many variations of good handwriting- in this case I was referring to the baseline, when it's unflinchingly straight, because that's a sign of tension. That, coupled with a couple other traits, can sometimes lead to font-like handwriting. But people who practice handwriting often can't be categorized with the typical traits of graphology; so yes, in your case that's probably not the case

Having your life together means healthy relationships, financial stability, bills paid, no consumer card debt, a stable career and no addiction or reliance on social media, alcohol, drugs or outside validation from strangers to feel valuable. Journals, spotless homes and running with every new trend isn't having your life together. I'm arguably more concerned about the together girl. From 22 years of adult experience, someone needs to check in on her overall well-being. None of that seems together, it looks like a mental health crisis and masking. I stopped thinking people like this had their lives together after like the 3rd suicide in my peer network. You'd think by 40 we'd kill ourselves less, but it only seems to get worse. Just like the person who comment before me, I think it's mostly because of pressure. The more we think we 'have' to get our life together, the more we become stressed, pressured and ended up in this viscous cycle of 'I can do better. Why can't I?' And the thing is, people operate and work differently. For some people, being totally organised and having structure helps them. It works for them. For some other, they see method in madness, they have another approach and method in live. I am sure there are many other way to live too. This sounds cliche, but find what works for you. Good luck for your journey. Sending you best wishes ✨✨✨

I make a list at the beginning of each year with achievable goals to be completed before the year ends. Stuff like "save $x by the end of the year (so that I can eventually buy a house). Find a cleaning routine that works for me (because I don't feel happy sitting in a messy house) etc. It's important to not set them too high, or you'll just be disappointed. Its super rewarding and motivating when you achieve even the smallest of goals. Eventually, you'll be where you want to be :)

Takes a lot of effort and handwork to get to that point, so people who in real life are jealous of people really organised and have their life together, work on it yourself, try be who you want to be. Takes a long time to make a habit.

@@Turnpost2552 there's nothing wrong with waking up at 4 am assuming you go to bed early and get your 8 hours of sleep. Its actually better in terms of knocking out some duties/hobbies/workouts before needing to get ready for work/school. Just don't be going out for runs in the dark at 4 am unless you wanna get mugged.

The problem is that most people that meet me think that my life is complete, but that's because I want everyone to think this way, indeed what's going on in my head is absolutely disaster, and having the thought that others think high of me, helps me to relaz
