Casual racism is insane in the reborn community. I'd never previously heard of Bonnie Seiben , but I'm not surprised. I've been in and out of the community since I was a preteen, and I've always noted a large majority of conservative women. Happy to see the community expanding now, I've seen many people closer to my age involved these days, and with them I have faith acceptable behaviour within the doll community will change. Looking forward to your next upload ! Goodluck with school.

I'm a newbie who bought a silicone doll that's a knockoff. I'm 69 & happened to find a preemie who's so real looking. It's beautiful.

Yes you're right.... I'm an artist too, I think it's just people are having a hard enough time affording the necessities lately. And our dolls are a luxury item❤❤❤

I know I have , I can’t afford anything as hour dollar is so low , I cant afford it or make up the $ I will loose it just cost to much to make good quality dolls . I will never get back

Very true, it's unfortunate on all accounts. But it's exactly why I do always warn new artist not to rely on reborning for their sole income (if they can).

That is definitely the reason! I'm so grateful I was even able to find this community and get some amazing deals on Ebay just before the price of living got even higher.. its so sad to see how many beautiful dolls are just getting relisted and they are waaay out of my price range. Hopefully things pick up around the holidays for people gifting others, fingers crossed❤

Omg I feel sooo bad I have 1 Bonnie sieben doll up for sale but I had no idea about the issues (I'm a new artist, just started reborning in the summer) :( I only got the kit because it was on sale!! For here on out at least I know now not to get her kits, yikes!!!

I am appalled by you saying those of us who can not afford "real" reborn dolls and buy ours from amazon are not real collectors. I bought my baby from amazon after saving up for a year to get him. Keep in mind not everyone is able to work due to a physical disability and live on a fixed income which is BELOW THE POVERTY LEVEL. You've lost a subscriber.

The Amazon dolls are knock offs. The community doesn't accept people that proudly support fakes.

You aren't a real collector and I don't care if I lost you...I don't want anyone who supports knockoffs anywhere near my channel. You are not entitled to these dolls but the sculptors who CREATE the real kits are entitled to the profits from their hard work!

@@KellyOuburg What are you even talking about. You know nothing about how this works, CLEARLY. I make money because I paint layer by layer and add hair strand by strand. That's literally why the reborn kits come blank. Do some research maybe?

The reborns that I have been selling have only been customs and to repeat customers. The ones I have made to sell are not selling either.

in the back of my mind, i’d HOPE people (artists and collectors) including these companies are ignorant to the controversies in this community, but like…WE know a lot (if not the majority, imo) don’t care and don’t want to “get into drama,” which is a ridiculous and cowardly excuse. that stuff she said was blatantly RACIST. period point blank! 💆🏽‍♀️😵‍💫 this is why i appreciate you so much you always speak on the REAL issues that are going on in our world and in the reborn community. i’m glad you’re back!! 🎉❤️🫶🏽

Yes, that's exactly it! Every time I point out stuff, it's "drama" to them...when in reality I just say things that are not so fun to pay attention to. Can you imagine if people back in the 1950's just continued to ignore segregation!
