This statement deeply resonated with me. My current challenge is that I feel lost in terms of my career. But this statement reminded me that if I’m not lost and had enjoyed immense success in my career, it also carries the risk of me subsequently being tethered/chained to my career/ a certain identity. And my career will inevitably come to an end or decline at some point which will then bring about great suffering. This really brings to light that the barrier is not physical but really internal.

@@manastalksessions1053 No kidding. Many people live their entire lives not even being aware that the possibility of this exists, much less thinking about it or understanding it. I'm grateful that at least some of us have the opportunity to understand this. This is one reason why our way of life (not being taught the basics), especially in western culture, is so unhealthy for not just individuals, but for all people, animals, the environment, unhealthy for the whole of the cosmos - not realizing the obvious fact that mind, body, & spirit are one is like a veil that blinds out everything else.

What when we know barriers are inside it leads to more frustration as it is hard to conquer them.I remember a quote of Vivekananda that big philosophers and scientists also find themselves a mere child when they try to conquer their own mind.

I was lost a big time, it was the most privileged moment for me seeing back, as I found the feet of Sadhguru and many enlightened beings like swami Chinmayananda, Shivananda, etc who showed me the path of finding my true self (sat chit ananda). Each, in their own way 🙏

@SydMountaineer
@SydMountaineer 2 жыл бұрын
@@cartergomez5390 I think she was having much difficulty understanding, so maybe that's why she seemed that way, but yes, I know what you mean, her facial expressions were like she did not believe what he was saying, but it was ironically due to the fact that she did not "seek". Towards the end, she seemed very confused about being "chained", she said, "Chained??????" I'm not sure if she ever got what he meant about how being lost is a good thing, because if you're lost, it means you're tied or chained to something that is not solid, as the expression on her face showed that she just quit wondering. I hope she took the time to put some thought into it later and hopefully understood. It's ironic that just before, Sadhguru was explaining about being a seeker, and how some people endure, and some give up. That's exactly what the lady did, like everyone is, she's a seeker, but she did not endure, at least not while on stage.

When your heart becomes nomadic, anywhere in the world that nature is strong feels like home. This is a liberation. All you need is the possibility to do shelter and basic survival skills. When you are comfortable swimming in the infinity of the ocean and don’t need walls around you to feel safe, an entirely new dimension is opened up to you. May society finally become pleasant and see that we are already in heaven.

Spirituality involves the recognition of a feeling or sense or belief that there is something greater than myself, something more to being human than sensory experience, and that the greater whole of which we are part is cosmic or divine in nature. ... Predictability can become decay. I made myself give it all up, went to a place I had never been, and when asked if I'm going to "settle down" I knew right then "I have no idea what lies outside this moment " and it felt wonderful ..I could see their chains. Give me the unknown and the mystery, to them I leave the predictability. All Who Wander Are Not Lost

I love the fact that many of Sadhguru's videos are done OUTSIDE IN NATURE - in "Nature's Palace". It makes all the difference. We all need to be in nature more, and be in places (like our homes) that are more open to nature. 🌳🐦🦝 If you're lost, it means you are chained (to something or someone), which is something you can't depend on, as things like love between two people are fleeting. In other words, it's better to be tied to yourself rather than to someone or something, as being chained to anything or anyone is fleeting, not solid, it can change and cause problems, but being tied to yourself instead is a sure thing, as you cannot separate from yourself and will never be lost. Look inside, not outside, in every part of life. (I think the lady who was talking with Sadhguru was having difficulty understanding this.)
