Sending a virtual hug if you are also "walking through porridge" or staring into space, paralyzed right now! Hopefully some of my own coping mechanisms will resonate with you! Where did you find my videos...in a Facebook group, recommended by a friend, they popped up on your KZfaq feed? Thank you for liking, subscribing and sharing! 😊

As with others, this video hit the mark. I always watch for you on KZfaq, but also get notifications on Instagram. I will look for you on facebook here in Texas. When I see so many of your followers resonating with your “blahs” videos, I start wondering if it has to do with the lunar cycles. But I so appreciate your reminders and even new takes on how to get thru to the other side. If my head cooperates, I can usually be the boss of how my body responds. Have a very blessed day. Enjoy your company.

Mourning the peaceful crossing of our 14+ year old gentleman cat, Uno. He waited until the house was empty of everyone and laid in his bed. Showed no signs of illness or decline. Oh the stages of grief. *deep breaths* He was every bit family.

I know exactly how you feel. My chiauau died of kidney failure at 16 Jan. 27th 2023 BUT his physical October 2022 showed he was healthy as a horse. I still feel guilty when he wasn't eating and drinking enough the previous 2 weeks I SHOULD have brought him into the vet. It still haunts me.😫

Thank you so much Diane. Last week my daughter flew to Australia for a year of work and travel. I returned to an empty house (she’s my 4th child and the youngest, so the only one still here). I just walked around in a daze wondering what to do…then I remembered your words. I picked up a cloth and my spray and started to shine the sink….

Thank you Diane. Everyone has their "blah" days. My coping mechanism is cleaning or organizing. It didn't used to be the case, but only watching KZfaq (hi 🤗) while folding and putting away laundry, emptying the dishwasher, etc. helped link the two and create habit. Now the busy hands and cleaner space afterwards help with my mental well-being, especially on cruddy days. Thanks again for your motivational videos. 🥰

Always appreciate you sharing your ups and downs. In the past, when you shared about your seasonal moods and how menopause impacted you, it helped me feel less judgemental of myself when I experienced the same things. And showed me that routines are the lifeline NOT the burden in such times. 💚 I hope this week improves for you as it goes.

Thank you so much, Dianne! I watch you on KZfaq, to answer that question. I actually hadn’t watched your videos of late, but this one came at just the right time today. It’s Saturday. And I’m feeling in a funk. I think there’s a combination of lots of expectations that are feeling paralyzing to me. Getting outside is a tip that I know and that’s some thing that I have to force myself to do for some reason. How to make it more normal for me and something I just do? Once I get out I feel good about it but there’s always something to do in the house, or I get into social media, or whatever. I’m totally flexible for the most part, having no family, just cats, who do you want me to be at home regularly… And on holidays? Nothing that “pulls me out“ necessarily externally. How to orient myself? Yesterday I took a drive and had coffee at the restaurant of a really nice hotel, overlooking a lake, it was beautiful and felt very nice. how does it get even better than that? What fun can I have today? (T 1/3 )

Hi Diane, I am always tickled that when I watch one of your special topic sort of videos, it's what I needed. I was sitting here over tired and overstimulated from an all day event with our church yesterday. At this "season" in life, it's just too much in one day for me. I just wanted to zone out, but you mentioned feeling like "porridge" and blah. Yep. What's next??? I listened and got up and got a snack ( I was hungry but didn't notice that), then hugged my kitten and now going to go for a walk. Thank you. For sharing your struggle and reminding me about self care. PS Your video notification comes through your blog via my email. So grateful for that.

Hi Diane, If the spike is recent for your videos it could be from the 3 ladies who run the 'Take Your House Back' Course. Dawn from The minimal Mum, Dana k White from A slob comes Clean and Cass from Clutterbug. Cass did a podcast with Steph from A Secret Slob Whom I think you know. Steph loves your way at looking at things. She mentioned you and that could be the reason. I've followed you for years and you are a wonderful help and inspiration. Thank you! Bonsoir Diane et les filles ❤ Je vis une période "sans " également. Je dois me forcer. 🎉💝🥳

An additional bonus of keeping up with my routines on those blah days I have discovered is that it prevents me from having another one (or two or three 😉) of those afterwards. Montana hugs to you, Diane. I had a period of days this past week where I felt overwhelmed. Potting up some petunias and herbs in pots last evening helped enormously. I am home from the gym from this morning and gave my feet a treat of pumice and coconut butter topped with white cotton socks.
