As a sew-in connoisseur, I'm surprised the stylists didn't say what I think it is. In that video, as she's taking the braid out you can see the bald spot was already present (from continuous tension) before she made it to the beginning of the braid. What it looks like TO ME is that she cut her hair while trying to cut the thread from the install out. The hair is coming out as she nears the start of the braid, not from the root. The thread is black, your hair is also dark and it can be tricky to take down. I've done this so many times as a teen.

@MiaD2003 It's actually about not giving your hair a break in between. When you take down braids and then go right back to braids, and keep repeating this, your hair will break. It's why you see so many with the outer perimeter missing or thinning and many folks who have locks have the edges lined up at a barber shop. Also have to consider box braids and locs, all that extra hair is heavy and is weighing down, adding tension to your hairline.

Ok,this has happened to me before. I got a curly hair sew in w a little of my natural hair out in the front to blend with the weave. After getting braided down(prepped) for the sew in I noticed that the braids were tight but I figured “Hey,it’s been a while since I’ve had a sew in I’ll eventually get used to it”. When the weave started to get sewn on(w the thread) OMGGGG brutal. The thread was making it tighter & tighter. I did inform the stylist & she said that she wouldn’t pull on the thread as tight. After she was finished,my hair was so pretty that once again I said to myself “I’ll just deal with it”. I did have a slight headache after. When i got home,I was out of it…I could not sleep,function…nothing. The pain in the temple part of my head was rocking! I tried sitting ice on my head(lol yea I know) taking a cold shower etc NOTHING WORKED! I went 4 days like that. I finally went back & she cut some of the thread to try to “loosen” up the tension. It did(in that moment) feel a little better,so I left & went 4 more days until I couldn’t take it anymore. Took my $600 sew in out to find what was starting to form in the temple of my head…a bald spot!!😳 I was furious! It’s tricky because I don’t think it was the stylist fault. I just think maybe she’s heavy handed or my scalp just is maybe too sensitive for that type of style. Because you do want a sew in to look realistic & last which means small braids & a tight & secure foundation. Whew just thinking about that entire situation makes my head hurt.

Having your hair ripped out can cause permanent hair damage if not treated. Depends how. Experience something similar which was an accident over 15 yrs ago and my hair never grew back in that spot (wasn't aware of hair maintenance at the time). Second if my hair too tight I'm taking it out not wearing for a month and a half to cause more damage. And lastly your hair sheds everyday so a month and a half plus tension and your not moisturizing or taking care of your hair will cause that or you can accidentally cut your hair looking for the string to take it down either way if your suing not leaving an uncomfortable hairstyle in for looks versus hair safety or personal comfort

What treatment can she possibly offer? Sis you need medicine!

I already knew JM was going to mention that CR special lol The plaintiff is out of gas. She can't accept the wig and sue.

Judge Mathis would have put the plaintiff OUT for following her eyes after being told to not talk .

She’s going to bring up that Chris Rock special on every case like this lol

I think the plantiff would look gorgeous with her natural hair.

Getting extensions is not a “black” thing. I just found out that “ hairline” Is now called “edges” . 😂

you definitely can i got breakage and a bald spot from getting a single service. I got crochet done with tight braids and she forced the crochet hook through my hair. My braid was literally floating off of my head smh the stylist refused to acknowledge it. I was completely natural and wore my hair in a afro 80% of the time
@carriegarcia41736 ай бұрын
The plaintiff already admitted to not having edges, the bald spots are from years of damage to your hair and scalp. If it was specifically those braids it would have cause breakage not bald spots. Girl just wanted more.

Her hair and scalp were already delicate prior to getting that weave. She needs to give the braids weaves and wigs a rest.

The guy laughing behind the plaintiff during the intro 😂😂

If you decide to get braids or wear weave/wigs, etc you are taking that chance at developing alopecia. Most times, it's temporary, but sometimes it's for life. And the gall for this lady to make a deal to get a free 1k wig, and yet she still sued, is bs. And she's wearing it to court! She just wanted free money. Horrible.

As a Black woman with naturally long hair, I wish other Black women would stop being so obsessed with fake hair. And stop trying to look like European women instead of rocking their own natural hair.

(13:47) Plaintiff rolling her eyes after the Judge told her to stop talking and listen, shows us that this plaintiff has not seen too many episodes of this show, nor understands how the Judge can/will/usually react(s) to these arrogant eye movements…!

You can't see it from your timestamp. It's like a couple of seconds back
@The_Real_Mier7 ай бұрын
@@robinnelson18 Well, then you do that. I have the exact eyes-to-upper-corner-moment in view at the time of the time-stamp I provided. Since I don’t believe that you would write your comment if you would NOT have noticed what you’re saying, while at the same time I am also convinced I’ve got the timestamp correct, I can only assume that there are some other influences, like internet speed or something like that, that give such a tiny difference in time / shots. Enjoy!!

They pulled up a video of her fighting getting her edges snatched!! Brilliant! These women didn’t come to play!😂😂😂😂. I hate to say it, but the plaintiff was trying to get a pay day.

I’m a hairstylist. A regular hairstylist CAN NOT treat this! She needs to see a TRICHOLOGIST( master stylist that studies hair loss) or a dermatologist! That’s it
