I’m pregnant with my 3rd and planning our 2nd home birth and my husband very much had the same approach…he was super nervous with our first home birth because my first birth was traumatic, but he trusted me to make the best decision for me and baby because I went into it with tons of research and information. It bonded us so much as a couple because he had that trust in my abilities and intuition as a mom. I have so many friends who have spouses who are completely unsupportive with home birth and tbh if my husband was like that it would cause massive issues for me and my ability to respect him as a partner.
