I’ve been using mine for it’s intended purpose commercially and I totally agree, it’s a brilliant little machine. I’m considering getting a few more for my fleet. Victor have a little winner here. They’re lovely to use

Another great video, thanks Sam! - Great to see under the hood - although try not to give too many of our secrets away! 😂 Our R&D dept is looking into the air leakage, but should be a simple fix on future machines. We find the best way to wrap the cable is to remove the hose, and spin the tub on its castors, winding up the cable. We designed it to be a problem-free retracting cable. Onboard tool storage is a great idea, and we're looking into this. Keep up the good work Sam, love this channel!

I do hope those make it to the United States. My wife's aunt has all tile with area rugs in her house and two cats this looks like a nice light and easy to use machine for her house.

I just looked up the motor, on the domel website it says it lasts up to 1000hrs. The one used by henry lasts for up to 2500hrs or maybe 3500hrs.

What happed to the cable restraint? Did you pop it off the handle? Or cut it off?
@beko1987

I popped the handle off when I had it apart and removed it, in my house its slightly annoying, although as you'll see next weekend for large areas it's critical! Wish I hadn't taken it off for next week's video...

Is it any good for deep cleaning ?, looks like a very good design, but only 700 watts, can't be that good, can it ?
@beko1987
@beko1987 3 жыл бұрын
Never deep cleaned with it! I'd say it does lack the raw power of a higher wattage, but not by much, sharper suction than a 620w Numatic. For its designed use case its fine, no need to deep clean carpet tiles or hard floors, but yea, I'd not pick it as my first choice for plush deep carpet!

Whilst you may feel that these make great domestic vacuums, I feel that this would not be the case, as unlike Numatic Henry, the public cannot buy a Victor V9 from the likes of Argos or Currys, which is where most people would go for a new vacuum. Also the issue is of bag availability to the public as again while you can buy Henry bags from Argos and Currys, you cant buy Victor bags there, and you dont say whether you have yet to try a Numatic bag in yours, seeing as Victor did not send any replacement bags for you, what bag will you use in it when you take it to vacuum in your commercial building? I was also rather suprised to see the motor was not made in the UK but in Slovenia, as you can clearly see at 7:51, and while it may be a Domel, I'm not sure about the quality of goods originating from Slovenia, and feel it may not last as long as a UK built Numatic motor. While the Victor may say its made in Birmingham UK, that is not the case for its motor sadly, and also the dust penetration from the bag that you showed after just one week means that HEPA pre-motor filter is going to get clogged pretty quickly, necessitating replacement, and I presume these filters will only be available from suppliers of commercial cleaning products, or from Victor themselves. The one thing I do like about it though is the fact that they use the Numatic Henry style head from pre-2014, which I feel are much better than the dreadful heads Numatic use today, with the single row of bristles on the front an the plastic soleplate and roller wheel. I use a Numatic at work in my cleaning job and we pretty quickly ditched the wheeled head and bought a non wheeled one like the Victor comes with - so I am pleased Victor stuck with the better design of floor tool for commercial use. It would be nice if our company bought Victor vacuums for us to use, but they use Numatic vacuums, however we do have an old Victor rotary floor buffer.

There's only so many ways I can test it in my home, I did tell Victor this when we first started talking. Hence the taking it apart to look at the build quality. I can't talk for the motor more than the 10 or so hours I've run it but having seen Numatics burnt or broken in some other way, and having heard the awful motors they use now its much nicer! I'm not sold on the paper bags either, there's probably an argument that they'll fill up quickly enough in normal use that you'll change them before they clog but yes, when it's full I'll be fitting hepaflo's! But it's not full yet, I want to brick the bag to see exactly that! The tools aren't fab, although they've made changes based on feedback from others (Ryan had a different floor head in his) and the one they gave me makes sense. It's so manoeuvrable though! I've given some feedback to a better cord storage solution, will see if it goes anywhere! 2 more videos to go though, don't give up on me yet Steve!

@@beko1987 I'd never give up on you Sam - we know you always give unbiassed reviews when given a free appliance from a company, unlike many others that only sing the praises for a freebie to ensure they get more freebies in the future. As regards using paper bags as standard, I still dont like the idea - its 2021 and companies should be well beyond using archaic technology like paper bags by now - they should all be using Numatic Hepaflo material bag types as standard. Even Sebo succumbed and supply fabric bags for their vacuums now, so I cannot see why Victor cannot do the same.

British built Numatic motors?? First Im hearing of that 😂. The earliest henries upto 2004 used panasonic motors made in the Far east, then came the ametek twinflos made in Mexico. Now its the EU/Possibly Chinese Ametek 620w motors
