I would suggest for you though to take into consideration the fact that you are all intelligent adults who knows right from wrong. There’s nothing wrong with giving them pointers and reminders, just try not to nag. Because, even with real mother-child relationship, too much nagging would only cause heartache for both of you, and most of the time, the child would eventually resent the parent. Sometimes it is worth letting them try things out themselves and get hurt, in that way, they will learn for next time. Just make sure they know that you support them, you are always behind them, and that you will never get tired of them. Also, a proper choice of words in communication can make a huge difference.
