After now able to judge both the 2019 conception and the 2022 studio trailer - this 2019 cast and vibes is much better than the one we're getting next month, in my opinion. Pity this cast wasn't taken forward to the full blown 2022 series was they all nailed it.

I soooo wished Will would’ve taken this trailer, this vision, this casting, maybe throw in 1 or 2 named talents, but definitely kept this Will and this Jazz. I thought Will’s mom was so authentic too. This trailer is much more intriguing and relatable. Hats off to Morgan Cooper who was both the director and cinematographer for this trailer. I look forward to seeing what else Morgan Cooper creates in the future. 🔥🔥🔥

@@ewilso22 It's okay. I don't think it's bad, but compared to this trailer, it pales in comparison. I think the reason why is because shows these days have a certain look/feel to them to keep with the network's standards, but with this trailer being an independent project, Cooper got to give it his own touch with his own style, which I found refreshingly different and intriguing. However, this new one premiering soon on Peacock, I'm open to it and definitely willing to watch the show. But I have my eye on Morgan Cooper. I think he's definitely a writer/producer/director to watch.

I've watched this fan-made trailer several times, LOVE it! I've seen all 3 episodes of the actual series and I am hooked! Yet in all honesty, the series will get the ratings it well deserves. But this fan-made right here just feels so real. It's iconic. I hope the cast from this trailer receives some form of recognition because they did the damn thang to make it happen.

Morgan Cooper who made this concept trailer is literally [the director] leading the Peacock reboot, alongside Will Smith. They reached out to him and hired him to lead the reboot after seeing this. Trust me, the Peacock version is GOOD! I was doubtful too but I ended up enjoying it!!!!

I was very young when I saw this scene. It gave me goose bumps...the silence before he cried and asked "why doesn't my father want me" broke me down and gave me emotions I hadn't experienced before. When uncle Phil hugged him...I was like woah, what happened to my funny tv show. I grew up on this show...I watched it every day until it ended. They need to make this a series and not a movie. It should never end.......

I read somewhere Will Smith let out real emotions and so did uncle Phil. I recall them saying he got into the scene and gave him memories or something about his own life and so on and so forth. The hug I think wasnt in the script. Dont quote me... No matter what...this show was poppen back in the day. I'm 40 now. I love the idea of a remake. Check this out...I dont even know you or anyone here but it gave us something positive to talk about. Any show can do that...is a great show in my opinion..

Furthermore, Netflix increased the price of all their subscription plans because so many were leaving, and ironically, and obviously, the price increases made more leave as well. Season 2 of The Punisher received about 40% of Season 1's views, and all Marvel, Disney, and Star Wars properties will all be leaving Netflix before the end of 2020 (Edit: Before the end of 2019). They are not at an all time high, nor will they be any time soon. Once again, they are dying, and I have no idea where you get your information from, but it's flatout ridiculous and goes against all objective reality, facts, projections, and statistics.

@@izdatbOi - None of what you said is supported by the numbers. First of all, the current quarter hasn't ended so you don't even know what effect the price hike had. Secondly, you claimed that they hiked the price because they were losing subscribers. Nothing could be further from the truth, because last quarter (which ended in December) added 9 MILLION subscribers. They have a total of 139 Million, which is in fact an all-time high. And lastly, Disney isn't leaving Netflix because they are failing. In fact it's quite the opposite. Companies like Apple, Disney, CBS, etc are all trying to set up their own competing streaming services because Netflix has proven how profitable the business model can be. They are trying to capture the growing market share for themselves.

The series messed up the second they gave Carlton’s personality a full 180. In this trailer, he may start out rough at Will (with good reason, Will has that whole sideways cap pre-Uncle Phil/Malcom X lecture vibe), but you still see him do the Carlton dance (3:01). Instead of holding up his dignity and self-respect and being a good representation of wealthy african-americans he gave in to the pressure just to fit in. Where’s the naive yet lovable dork you wanted to protect even if you thought he was annoying 90% of the time. The guy who wanted to be cool, but not at the expense of his morals. It’s hard not to compare, especially with the emotional moment in the original when he calls out that frat dude labeling him a sell-out just cuz he’s rich.

It's weird watching this trailer and being fine with all of these new actors in the roles - but once Uncle Phil comes, the illusion breaks down, because only James Avery IS Uncle Phil.

Just watched the “official” trailer for the series (based off of this fan made project!) premiering on Peacock. I had to confirm for myself…. There is more heart and soul and creativity in this two minutes (staging, editing, framing, acting, and musical choices) than the “official” Bel Air. Well done, Morgan Cooper and team! I hope you have a lot of say in terms of direction of the new series!

It’s a dramatic interpretation of Fresh Prince. Trailer created by Kansas City filmmaker to hopefully encourage Will Smith to allow him film rights. Just heard this on KC talk radio where Mark Alford, KC news anchor and white guy in scene at dinner table, occasionally fills in for one of the radio talk show hosts. Apparently he was on air yesterday talking about it and why it was made.
