You should make the winner of every country fight against the other winners in its continent, and then the winners of each continent should fight against each other making a global winner

I like the idea, but then the regions in countries with fewer regions have a higher chance eg. a Belgian region has 5 times more chance of winning then an American State

Luxembourg used to be way bigger. In 1659 after the Franco-Spanish War, parts of its southern territory was given to France. In 1815 after the Napoleonic Wars, parts of its northeastern territory was given to Prussia. And after the Treaty of London in 1839 in which the Netherlands finally recognise Belgian independence, that Belgian Luxembourg province was given to Belgium. So that's why the province is called Luxembourg.

Belgium is split in Walloonia and Flanders. Luxembourg is a territory in which is created the country Luxembourg with a capital called Luxembourg

for context: flemish is a language, the north of belgium speaks dialect dutch and we call it flemish. Waloon is like frensh but also dialect. Antwerp, Liege and Limburg are all just the biggest city's in the region. the region of Brussels also isn't really called Brussels, Its called "Brussels hoofdstedelijk gewest". And that was all

The reason Luxembourg is a territory in Belgium is because it was formerly apart of the grand duchy of Luxembourg

brussels spoke mostly Brabantian Flemish Dutch until 1930, when French got the upper hand, this was due to a policy of frenchification that lasted until about the 1960s, fun fact, the Dutch national anthem was written by a Brussels citizen,

Belgium fun fact: Belgium is also divided in 4 big regions, Wallonia, Flanders, Brussels and the German area, the division comes because of the languages (French in Wallonia, Dutch in Flanders, both of those in Brussels and German in the German area), they each have their own government and the people often identify as coming from their region rather than from the country as a whole. Belarus fun fact: It’s considered to be the only dictatorship left in Europe, the guy (called Lukashenko), even once called himself a dictator.

@@insertname2insertsurname216 Lukashenko has been in office since the independence of the country and (as I said) has called himself a dictator, Putin wasn’t in office since the beginning and the president of Kazakhstan changed at least once in recent years didn’t he? I guess Lukashenko is the most dictator-y of the bunch, even if they are all kinda similar, Kazakhstan is barely in Europe anyways.

@@imperatormaximus8952 still, the chance for such an event not to occure ever in the whole series is even lower. This actually gives a hint on the randomness of the wheel. A real person would be very unlikely to pick the same region four times in a row when the goal was to simualte randomness.

Belgium has 3 groups of people. The walloons, flemish and germans. The flemish are basically dutch people but I think they were catholic so they joined Belgium instead of the Netherlands. The Walloons are speaking a french dialect. These two groups of people also don't quite like each other. Basically north Belgium is Flanders(flemish people) and south Belgium is Wallonia(Walloon people). The germans are in Eupen-Malmedy because it used to be Germany but now isn't anymore because of ww1.

I'm Belgian and uh flemish and walloons don't hate each other, over the years more and more people consider themselves belgian, it's just that dutch parties like NVA and Vlaams Belang are ambiguous about leaving, and just say they want the communities and regions to have more autonomy

@@namij2560 during the time of filips 2 the netherlands (and belgium) tried to get free of spanish rule, but since that the netherlands was more devoted to their cause due to them being orthodox and most of the battles being around antwerp, the belgians decided they wanted to stay wtih spain while the Netherlands fought for their independence and got it thanks to Willem of oranje
