Possibly my favorite display of the 2023 ZigAirMeet, an airshow held at Mollis Airfield in the beautiful Swiss Alps, here's the cool General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon ''Dream Viper'' of the Belgian F-16 Solo Display Team, greatly flown by Senior Captain Steven De Vries ''Vrieske''. The video is a mix between Friday's display, recorded at the airport, and the one held on Saturday recorded from a spot around 400 meter higher up.

Awesome ! Pas mal pour un quinquagénaire... The YAW dance at 1:51 was introduced at RIAT last month (I believe), what an incredible move, never seen before ; aka I wannabe a Harrier. Thanks to the pilot, thanks to the engineers, thanks to the man behind the camera...

RE: "YAW dance" Same here; never seen such an "ass-wiggling" (oops, tail-wiggling, of course 😉) fighter `dancing´ scene (especially with the mountain in the back). Kind of "Now it's showtime" and really very funny to me. Not sure how this maneuvre is called, but "Salsa" or "Cha Cha Cha" might nicely fit here 🤣. Maybe for that very special scene Bozzy should create short clip, underlying with dance music fitting to that styles. Just wonder how it would sound if pitch is turned down when adapting the beat according to the moves 😉. Independent from that: stunning show, too!

The sound with these Shure mics attached is phenomenal! Very high end crispy and nice low end response. Sound so realistic and close to the real thing! Great video man!

His flying displays are always top notch. Really enjoyed it last year at RIAT 2022, where he stole the show (imho). Great sound! What equipment do you use to record the audio?

I was at RIAT this year and it was also the most impressiv display in my opinion. The pilot has 5000 hours in the F16

I generally use a Zoom H5, with the standard XY capsule, as my main microphone but the audio of this specific video is from two Shure KSM137 mics connected to that Zoom H5. It was a quite overkill setup I wanted to put up and test for loud occasions (especially fighter jets take offs) and maybe I could make it useful for my main YT channel too, if I'll attend some drag racing events with Top Fuels. But I noticed the max SPL of the Zoom H5' XY capsule is enough for 99% of the times and general quality is on the same level

Almost 50 years old design but still...a clean F-16 is one of the best looking fighter jets in the sky, after the F-104 😅

Knees weak, arms are heavy? I guess the only way to better convey the sizes and speeds would be a 16K 360° camera, like a VR recording 😅 Great work, good spot🤙🏻

For those who still believe F-15 is the best jetfighter ever... F-15 is a flying anvil, a powerfull truck with tons of missiles, that's all. But when time comes to entertain, they always bring the F-16. The real best jet fighter. The Formula One of the sky.
