I haven't cried this much for such a long time, it hit me hard.

The reason the Christmas spirit feels like it’s dying is because we are now the carriers of that spirit. We must now carry it on for not only ourselves, but also for today’s children. If we all band together for the kids, they can hopefully experience the same magic we did

This song really just made me stop and think about how much I miss being a kid on Christmas morning. I still believe in the magic but not as much as I did then. I really miss it.

Everyone imagine you’re in elementary and it’s pajama day, you get to bring blankets and a stuffed animal to school ,you sit with your best friends and your teacher turns on the projector, she puts the polar express on everyone gets to have hot chocolate with marshmallows on top and popcorn can you just imagine that

I swear I can’t listen to this song without crying. This song always takes me back to a simple time. A time where my parents weren’t divorced, before my grandma got diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma, when my family didn’t have any drama, when my entire family was whole and not taking sides. Christmas used to be a time where the entire family gathered at my grandparents house and eat, spend time with each other, open presents that family members gave us, and spend the night and wake up as a whole family on Christmas morning. However, things happen and now the family is spread apart and people hate each other. I would do anything to go back to that time. Please just take me back.

I'm a 27 years old man. I love and will always love Christmas. Polar Express is my all times favourite Christmas movie. This lyric is so powerful, it totally describes me, to the point that it made me cry. Perhaps that's not me who's crying, perhaps that's the child i've buried inside who's crying, begging to get out again and get back the feelings he had when he was completely free, with no limits, surrounded by the magic of a world only children can dream of and that sadly we loose when we grow up. But as long as the child we all have inside is still alive, as long as the Christmas magic is still within you, as long as you cry while listening to a Christmas soundtrack that totally describes your childhood, that means you can still hear the bell, that means the Christmas spirit is still alive inside you, and that means you are the richest person on the earth. Another Christmas has arrived. I remember it as if it were yesterday, I was 4 years old, and I had received a DVD from my Aunt. At first, I didn't care about the DVD, and I put it in a corner. I grew up a little, and then I decided to watch that movie. And I watched. From the first moment I saw it, I fell in love with the film. I fell in love with the story, with the train, because when I was little I loved trains. But there was one thing I loved, the soundtrack for this film. It was simply MAGIC to hear these beautiful melodies and let your imagination go. And this film was called, THE POLAR EXPRESS! Since then, every Christmas, I come here and listen to this wonderful Christmas music. Merry Christmas to all of you and your families. May God give much peace and unity to all of you. When I was very little, I won a free copy of this movie. As a child, it was always just another Christmas movie to me, like the Grinch and stuff, it just also was the only one we got for free. It was one my family would watch every year, just like the other movies. However, as my sister and I got older and we learned about ‘the truth’, my family sorta drifted away from watching movies. But I would still think about this movie every single year. I had no real reason to, it was just another movie. As of commenting this, it has still been years since I’ve watched it. But I now realize why I always think of it: the universe has been telling me to just watch it. Because of this song. I’m on my senior year of high school, and next year I’m going away to college. I’m not going to be super far from my family, but it’s still far enough where I’d have to live on campus, where it’s kinda difficult to go home often. This year has been making me think so much about my childhood and memories I’ve made with my friends and family. And it’s not even midway through the school year! Every year, my voice teacher has her students perform a Christmas concert at a tree farm. This being my senior year, I wanted to make it special since I won’t get to do it next year. So, I had to go and think what song I wanted. I thought of Christmas, and with the holidays in my head I thought of the Polar Express. So I looked for a good song from it. Upon listening to this song and reading the lyrics again for the first time in so many years, I started bawling my eyes out and was forced to pause the song. So many things had changed since I last heard it. The last time we watched this movie was when I was in 5th grade (So about 7 years). I’ve found a love for singing and acting since then. I’ve realized and hid the fact that I’m a lesbian from people out of fear, I learned to just get over what other people think about me and how their opinions of me aren’t what matter, I’ve come out of the closet despite still being afraid, I’ve made new friends and learned how to talk to people, I’ve had to talk friends through dark times in their life, I’ve gained and lost family, I found a love for writing stories, I’ve fallen in love with people and had my heart broken, I’ve developed as a person and grew into who I am today. Along that journey, I was only ever thinking about the future and never thought too much about the past and my childhood. Until a couple weeks into my senior year, and reality finally settled in. At that time, in one year, I will be in a completely different place surrounded by all new faces. I won’t see my family and friends every day. I finally calmed down enough to press play again, and I knew this is what I was going to sing at the tree farm without a doubt. It’s strange how life works, how everything seems to be going so slowly, until you look back at the past and notice it’s hardly been any time at all. It took me so long to type this comment because I kept crying while writing it... If you are a child/teen living with your family, make sure to treasure every moment. Because one day, things are going to change. For better or worse, it doesn’t matter. Any change can make everything different. Don’t forget to grow up, but please, don’t forget your childhood and how you got to where you are now. That’s the magic of life.

This song and movie always reminds me of my grandad. He loved Christmas, and he loved this movie. The whole spirit of the movie reminds me of the type of person he was and how he treated me. He's the reason I still believe in Santa, and he's also one of the reasons I love Christmas so much. It was such a sweet gift he left for me, and I can't ever repay him.

I remember to this day, December 3/12/2004, I was at the premiere of this beautiful movie with my brother and my grandparents, it was amazing how this movie conveyed joy, hope to those who watched it, and even today to those who watch it. Polar express never deserved the bad ratings, hell that movie was a part of my childhood, it really brought out the true meaning of Christmas, and it gave a message, kindness.

I'll listen to this song for the rest of my life, even though I cry every time. Thankful to my parents who instilled the Christmas spirit in us when we were so little. Now we are grown, away from each other and living our own lives. Christmas brings us all together again, just once a year. When it seems that we have lost our way, we find ourselves again on Christmas day.

I remember sitting in my elementary class I had a blanket and we sat in chairs in rows so that it would be like we were on the train , it was such a magical experience. I still watch polar express every Christmas. Now watching it older it makes me want to be a kid again and wake up one day to the sound of the train on Christmas Eve and hope that a conductor would come and punch my ticket so I can believe again.

In 12th grade, I sang this song at a student council trip to a nursing home where we sung to the residents, I didn't tell anyone that I was gonna do this, but apparently the staff loved it so much that when graduation came that June, I ended up recieving a reward and they changed the school's motto to "you have everything you need if you just believe" this song will always bring a tear to my eye, it is just so nostalgic and reminds me of one of the most profound moments of my life, and makes me feel nostalgic about my childhood. This damn song is so nostalgic I’m fighting my tears so much right now!!! This movie will always be my favorite Christmas movie. I saw it for the first time when I was in 1st grade. I think that was also when it first came out. I hated school but Christmas time was so fun at school because we got to decorate cookies and eat them, decorate out own Christmas stockings, make paper snowflakes, and DIY ornaments. While of course eating candy!! Awww! My childhood!! But my favorite school Christmas activity was when it was PJ day and they teacher brought us into his cozy Christmas-y looking room where we drank hot coco while the teacher read The Polar Express. I'm 18, am in college, and will always rewatch this movie every Christmas,,,, it reminds me of happier childhood times. I remember I actually thought the movie was live-action when I was little haha I wish I could go back to the time my 1st grade teacher had us watch The Polar Express before winter break, she even had printed out tickets like the ones from the movie for us.

I don't think I've ever believed in Santa Claus, but the word believe means so much to me. It can be to believe in kindness, love, myself and other people. And believe that everything is going to be alright, and that the child inside of us never grows up. And of course, to believe in the spirit of christmas ❤️

For those who are children or dreamers, whenever Christmas time comes around the corner, cherish it as much as you can. It’s a time in your life that will never be replicated later in your life and it is one that you should make the most of. And to those like me who have taken that time for granted or for those who have moved on from a time like this, try to remember it and how great it was. When I was in elementary school, the town’s middle/high school would always host a Polar Express movie night. I had since forgotten about them, it feels like a lifetime ago. We would all show up in our pajamas, and they’d set up a snack bar with candy bars, popcorn, and hot chocolate. And I remember just the simplicity of sitting there, watching this amazing movie while sitting with friends and enjoying snacks and cocoa. It’s memories like those that keep me from doing just ending it these days. Between growing up, the stress from work and college, the lack of self-confidence which leads to depression, life has turned into a shit show for me. But small things like this song from a childhood movie remind me just how beautiful life can be. I tear up every time I hear it.

So many nostalgic memories from 2003-2006 watching Warner Bros movies on my big fat giant TV in the basement with 8 speakers, the films I watched were Elf, Looney Tunes: Back in Action, Clifford's Really Big Movie, The Polar Express, and my most favorite Happy Feet. Now we have a skinny small flat screen TV and it's nothing like the old one.

When we were children, Christmas used to excite us. We believed in the spirit of the holiday with childlike wonder. Now, as adults, it doesn't seem to bring us joy anymore. Which is sad. I am very sure that if we looked within ourselves , we could find the little kid who ran down the stairs on Christmas Day, and gazed with big eyes at the presents under the tree. We could find the little boy or girl who, at one time, believed.
