Him fighting guys he is better than is where he gets success, when he fights people better than him he can use all the mental gymnastics he wants. He simply isn't good enough to beat some guys which is fine, but he uses mental gymnastics everytime, you'd think after all of his excuses he'd know how to not have any excuses by now but he somehow goes into every fight he loses with "the wrong frame of mind" instead of not being good enough.

Finally Sean Strickland some respect. People don’t realize how good he really is. Least Hit MW of all time. He can only lose to freaks like Alex or literally a robbery. Got robbed over DDP. Sean did more damage outstruck him every round except 1. DDP had 6 takedowns but did 0 damage with them and never held Sean down. Only 2 mins of control on 6 takedowns!! Sean would piece DDP up the whole round and never get hit. Then DDP would get a takedown which Sean would get to his feet and somehow round scored DDP

About weightcuts; we already test fighters randomly for PEDS, so when you do that, you also take their weight. Have a min. of 2 random test per fighter per year, the average of those numbers is the weight you fight at, or in the range of 5 pounds or so if its not too exact.

Definitely see where you’re coming from, thought about that myself. Some fighters actually do do that. Primarily boxers tho. Because if you train to fight in the opposite stance to use your strong hand as your jab hand, you’d also have to train every “kick” and “takedown approach” and your “defensive shell” the opposite way as well, and that’s a lot. Trying to fight your natural balance and such. I hope that kind of answers your question.

Dominant/power hand forward is a wrestling stance. Grapplers who learn boxing a decade later will just stick to it because of familiarity.

@ 1:13:10 Ant I've done the same, or can push ur finger all the way back behind their teeth like a bridle on a horse..... it doesn't hurt them at all and it's annoying enough that they'll stop the "nibbling". The best thing to try first tho is just chew toys, lots and lots of chew toys!! They make some dense, hard rubber toys that look like a pretzel and a bee hive at Petsmart that I've had great luck with. They're supposedly "indestructible" but my Husky proved that to be false fairly quickly 😂, but once he got toys he loved he stop biting on me, my shoes and the furniture lol

When Bisping is answering the question about weight cutting. I think its simple to sort out weight cutting, just have a weigh in the night before the fight like they normally do, and then another weigh in on fight night as they walk out. It's an easily solvable problem that nobody wants to touch for some reason. It would make it a lot safer, and the fans would get better fights. Instead of seeing fights between 2 guys that have drained and starved themselves almost to death for days before the fight, we'd get proper healthy athletes competing at their best. It's us fans that are losing out. All the things that Bisping said are true now anyway, all the bad things he described are already happening, we're getting crappier fights and there's more risk of injury for the fighters. Having 2 weigh ins can't be that hard to do, when Ryan Garcia fought Tank Davis they did that. I don't care how stupid a fighter is, there's no advantage to cutting weight if you can't rehydrate, that's the whole point. MMA needs more weight classes though, a 10 pound difference in weight class is too much, halve it.
