I have finally tried this recipe and wow! I’m throwing away all my other tortilla recipes and keeping this one. The tortillas come out soft like we say da Belize. Super soft tortillas that don’t instantly dry out. Only thing is because of our extremely dry climate (Canada) I used half cup more water so I used 2 cups water instead of one and half. I find for most recipes with flour I have to do that because of the dry air. These are the best tortillas I’ve ever made and had. They keep really well for the next day if I put them in a ziploc bag and leave them on the counter. Or better yet I put some of the dough in the fridge and made fresh ones for breakfast and they were really good, too. Very good! Highly recommend!

What size are your Tortills? How long do I cook them? When I roll out the dough how long? I didn't think you can make those. If I made wheat, can I change the flour, or add corn meal to make corn tortillas? Thanks for the recipe..
@CookingwithShirani5 жыл бұрын
Hi Lorie, I would say the tortillas are about 7 inches in diameter. Cook them 30-40 seconds on each side. I have to be honest I've never made an all wheat tortilla before. I always do half wheat and half white flour. No, you can't add cornmeal to make corn tortillas. You have to buy Maseca (instant corn masa flour) to make corn tortillas. Hope this helps 😊.
